1. Ms. Wang Wenjuan was handcuffed continuously for four months
On the evening of April 7, 2002, Wang Wenjuan tried to write down Teacher's articles from memory and was seen by a spy who reported her to the captain. The captain asked her to go to the office but she refused. The next day the captain had a talk with her and asked her to agree to the conditions the captain laid out. Ms. Wang rejected them. On August 8, Wang Wenjuan was brought to the first floor and handcuffed to a heating pipe. She was handcuffed there day and night for an entire month until finally a guard handcuffed her to the bedside. From then on she was able to rest on the bed, but remained handcuffed, sometimes with one hand, sometimes both. One day, Team Leader Zhang Yan was annoyed seeing her sitting on a chair and said maliciously, "It is too easy for you to sit. Get up. Don't sit there. Stand up and stay standing until this evening." The team leader then had a person take the chair away. Ms. Wang stood there until after 3 a.m. Finally, she could not bear it anymore and she used her foot to pull a military overcoat over to her and used it as a cushion to sit on. (Her arm was handcuffed too high up for her to sit comfortably on the floor). Ms. Wang remained handcuffed for four months this way.
In December 2002, Masanjia Labour Camp began to implement the so-called "forced conversion" of those steadfast practitioners. During that period, Masanjia sent for brainwashing helpers from many places in Liaoning Province to help in converting practitioners. Practitioner Wang Wenjuan would not comply with their demands to renounced Falun Dafa and was ordered to squat. Five days later she was sent back to the branch team after they found that she did not waver in her belief at all. The branch team kept trying to force her to convert. First, they ordered her to squat again but she refused. Then they handcuffed her to a heating pipe that was so high that her feet barely touched the floor, even with her arm straight. She was hung there this way for two days and a night. They also tried other ways to torture her. They dragged her onto the bed and tied up each of her hands separately for several days. On the third day they stopped her meals, and let her starve for the next three days. Then they brutally force-fed her. Later, they forced her to squat, with both hands shackled to the bed, and she was forced to maintain that position for a day and a night. Afterwards, they made her cross her legs in a full-lotus position and tied her up for a day and a half.
2. Ms. Wang Suxia was handcuffed and hung up for many days and deprived of sleep
During the forced conversion campaign in December 2002, the camp guards tied practitioner Wang Suxia's legs up for a whole night. The next day they handcuffed her to a radiator pipe, at such a high position that she was barely able to stand on the ground. They kept her in this position for many days and would not let her sleep. Only one restroom visit was allowed per day. Ms. Wang was very steadfast. The guards kept her on the first floor where all the steadfast practitioners were held, but eventually they stopped trying to convert her.
3. Ms. Pan Jing's legs were tied up for 26 hours
Pan Jing was taken to Masanjia Forced Labour Camp in November 2002. During the forced conversion period in 2002, the guards tied her legs up for 26 hours, causing long-term damage to her legs. They also forced her to squat, and handcuffed her. Her legs have still not recovered.
