United Kingdom: Appeal near the Prime Minister’s Office to the International Community to Investigate the Chinese Labour Camps

From the 11th to the 15th of April 2006, UK Falun Gong practitioners held activities near the Prime Minister’s office in Downing Street London, distributing leaflets to passersby, collecting petition signatures, disclosing the Chinese Communist Party’s almost seven year genocidal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners and especially its evil atrocity of removing organs from living Falun Gong practitioners for profit in forced labour camps and concentration camps and then burning their bodies to eliminate the evidences. They called on the UK Government and the international community to pay attention to it and to start to an entire investigation into the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in forced labour camps in order to stop its attempt of destroying witnesses and rescue Falun Gong practitioners who are still surviving in forced labour camps throughout China.

A practitioner said: As the weather on the first day of activities was not good, we felt deeply oppressed. With the activities going by, when more and more people working in Downing Street and passersby learned about the CCP’s atrocity and the persecution happening right now in China, it got better and better. Among people who were in a hurry, many did not accept leaflets when passing by the first and second practitioners, but they slowed their steps and accept leaflets distributed by a third practitioner. Lots of people, who accepted leaflets on the first day, signed the petition when again passing by the next day. The police who were on duty in Downing Street also read the leaflets. Some of them were carefully reading them for a long time. Some came over and said hello to practitioners when they were on duty the next day.

After hearing about the wicked actions of the CCP who had removed organs from living Falun Gong practitioners in forced labour and concentration camps for profits and then cremated their bodies to eliminate the evidence, one man said he knows about the conditions of human rights in China and the persecution that has been taking place in China. He said that if any persecutions happen in some other countries, some witnesses are bound to come out. But in China, never before have witnesses come out, because they would have been killed. He also expressed his agreement with practitioners: If the whole world knows the real situation of human rights in China, in no way can the CCP’s persecution continue.

A teacher, asked for over ten leaflets. She said that she was going to arrange a class for her students of 18 or 19 years olds to discuss human rights and the persecution of Falun Gong. Another western lady told practitioners that she herself was going to write letters to MPs calling on them to pay attention to the CCP’s atrocities. She asked practitioners: “Are you going to continue opposing the persecution until it ends?” On hearing the positive reply from practitioners, she was pleased to wish them good luck.

After a practitioner told him about the CCP persecuting Falun Gong, one man said: “Do you feel that you are safe here in the UK?” “I am safe here. Although I am in the UK, I have received several phones calls from mainland China annoying and threatening us. They made calls to my home during New Year and Chinese New Year.” replied the practitioner. This man was shocked at the fact that the CCP even disturbs overseas Falun Gong practitioners.
