Practitioners from Hungary and Slovakia decided to spend the first of January, 2007, in Budapest’s Blaha Lujza Square, conducting an activity to expose the persecution of Falun Gong.
They erected information boards with information about Falun Gong, the persecution and the Kilgour-Matas report on China’s harvesting of Falun Gong practitioner’s organs.
Although the weather was rainy, many people came to read the information boards and happily took a flyer.
One man, who was totally disgusted by the persecution said, “This persecution is simply awful”. He signed a petition that practitioners were collecting signatures for. He also talked to other people looking at the display and encouraged them to sign too.
After reading the information many people would line up to sign the petition themselves.
A follower of the Christian faith took some material and after reading, asked practitioners for another six fliers to give to his friends. He said they would pray for the situation of practitioners in China to improve.
Some people were watching from the bus stop, but did not get closer to the information boards, due to the wet weather. Practitioners saw this and walked over to them and handed them fliers. The people were very happy to receive the information.
