On the 11th of February 2007, just before Chinese New Year, Falun Gong practitioners in UK gathered in London’s Trafalgar Square, exposing and protesting against the seven years of brutal persecution against Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese Communist regime.
The day was the first nice day after heavy snow fell in England. It was sunny and the air was very fresh. There were many tourists in the Square. Practitioners set up various banners and display boards. They exposed to tourists and local residents the Chinese Communist regime’s persecution of Falun Gong practitioners especially the atrocity of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. They informed people of the new evidence published by the Canadian independent investigation group about the regime’s organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners.
During the gathering, former UK diplomat Lord Thurlow, Vice President of the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong John Dee and others made speeches condemning the Chinese Communist regime’s atrocities. Two Falun Gong practitioners spoke about their personal experiences of the regime’s inhuman treatment, including Ms Yang Feng who was detained in a forced labour camp for two years without going through any legal procedure.

Practitioners talked to the public about the ongoing brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China. They also handed out flyers and collected petition signatures calling for an end to the persecution. After learning the truth, an English lady said: “How could they persecute you like this? What has the British government done? You should write to Tony Blair and Gordon Brown and let them know about this persecution.”
