Persecution Cases of Falun Dafa Practitioners from Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province

Ms. Huang Jinrong is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Jinjipo Neighbourhood, Jiujiang City. She has suffered severe persecution since July 20th, 1999.

On July 20th, 1999, Jinjipo Police Station ransacked her home three times and limited her freedom. The policemen directed her family members to force her to give up her belief and to write the so-called "guarantee statement¹" of promising not to do the Falun Gong exercises. In April 2000, Ms. Huang Jinrong was tricked into going to the Jinjipo Police Station, and she was detained for one night. She was forcefully sent to a brainwashing session for brainwashing the next day. Being inhuman, the policemen even abducted her husband, who doesn't practise Falun Gong, and took him to the brainwashing session. He forced the couple to pay 800 yuan² for food, completely ignoring the fact that they have two young children at home who were not being looked after.

Late one night, in January 2001, Ms. Huang was arrested again and taken to the detention centre. The evil policemen forced her to write the guarantee statement. They intimidated her, saying that they would fire her husband if she refused to write. Later they still forcefully took her husband to the brainwashing session.

In August 2000, a malicious person reported Ms. Huang Jinrong to the police when she was distributing leaflets exposing the persecution to people. She was sentenced to two years of forced labour and suffered from severe mistreatment in the Majialong Forced Labour Camp in Jiujiang City.

In March 2007, policeman Zhu Li arrested Ms. Huang Jinrong on the street and took her to the detention centre. During the period when she was detained, the 610 Office³ and Liu Yazhi (female, Chair of the village Women's Association), forced her to write the guarantee statement. On July 28th, she was again arrested and taken to to the Majialong Forced Labour Camp, a hell in the human world, where Ms. Huang Jinrong once again suffered from extreme torture. She was spiritually brainwashed and physically treated like a slave. The drug addict prisoners beat her and used a towel to gag her which caused her temples to make a cracking sound. The towel was full of blood. As a result of mental pressure and physical torture, she was persecuted to the state of mental aberration. Even under such circumstances, the prison guards did not release her. Instead, they still detained her for an extended term.

In August 2006, when she was exposing the truth of the persecution and telling people the facts of Falun Dafa with fellow practitioners, she was again arrested and detained in the detention centre. A long period of life in prison, spiritual devastation, and physical torture caused Huang Jinrong severe damage.

Ms. Sang Longju, a Falun Dafa practitioner, was taken to Jinjipo Police Station to be brainwashed and extorted 1000 yuan. She was also detained for 15 days in January 2001. In July 2001, she was detained in the detention centre because she was distributing leaflets exposing the persecution to people. Two months later, the policemen from Jinjipo Police Station arrested and took her to the Majialong Forced Labour Camp where she suffered from severe mistreatment.

Ms. Bai Hongjun, a Falun Dafa practitioner, was arrested by policemen from the Zhangshu City Police Station in Jiangxi Province when she was going to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa in 2000. The inhuman policemen handcuffed her hands at her back and put shackles on her ankles for a period as long as over one month. They refused to take them off even when she ate, drank, and used the washroom. They were ferocious, and they did not only attack her with wicked words, but they also struck her on the head. Ms. Bai Hongjun refused to give up her belief and insisted on meditating. They even put her into an iron cage. Her spirit was extremely devastated. She had 1700 yuan on her, and it was all taken away by the policemen. They cheated her family members into paying money for her release. However, they transferred Ms. Bai Hongjun to the Jiujiang County Detention Centre after her family members submitted the money. In the Jiujiang County Detention Centre, she was handcuffed and shackled at all times. They used such punishment methods, usually reserved for death penalty prisoners, on kind Falun Dafa practitioners. It made people's blood boil. In the end, they released Ms. Bai Hongjun only when her family members paid another 1000 yuan.

Ms. Song Juhua, a Falun Dafa practitioner, was arrested and taken to the Jinjipo Police Station on February 28th, 2000. The policemen tried to force her to write the guarantee statement, but she refused. Then, they got her son to come and forcefully hold her hand in order to give her fingerprint.

Ms. Dai Meixia, a Falun Dafa practitioner, was arrested by policeman Liu Ping from the Xunyang District Police Department, Jiujiang City when she was distributing leaflets to people in September 2001. She was detained in the detention centre for as long as over thirty days. The policemen attacked her with virulent words and intimidated her. Later they transferred her to the Huangmei County Detention Centre. She was detained there and was forced to "transform⁴." She suffered barbarous force-feeding just because she refused to give up her belief. In the end, they released her only after they extorted 4,000 yuan from her.

Zhang Yanqiu was arrested by Jiujiang City Police Station in 2006 and was extorted for 10,000 yuan.

1. A statement to declare that he or she is remorseful for practising Falun Gong and guarantees not to practise Falun Gong again, not to go to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, and never again associate with any Falun Dafa practitioners.

2. "Yuan" is the Chinese currency; 500 yuan is equal to the average monthly income of an urban worker in China.

3. "The 610 office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.
