Wugong County is located in Guanzhong Plain. Before July 20th, 1999 there were over one hundred Falun Gong practitioners in Wugong County. Most of them started to practise Falun Gong in 1999. They hadn't cultivated long before the persecution of Falun Gong started. The chief of the National Security Division, Yan Yong (female), led perpetrators to persecute Dafa practitioners who believe in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance". They raided practitioners' homes, fined them, detained them, sent them to the forced labour camps, threatened them, and forced them to write guarantee statements to give up practising Falun Gong. Many practitioners suffered from lots of diseases before they practised Falun Gong but they recovered from those chronic diseases only months after practising. Their hearts had been purified and their families became more harmonious. They tried to be good people according to the principle of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." After the persecution started, some of the practitioners gave up the practice under pressure. As a result some had relapses and died. Previously harmonious families now became broken with family members torn apart or killed.
Juanjuan, who lived in Wugong County, went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in 2001 and was abducted by Yan Yong and her team. She was detained at the Wugong County Custodial Station and her family members were not allowed to see her. One month later she was sentenced to two years in a forced labour camp. She was then sent to the Women's Forced Labour Camp in Shaanxi Province.
In October 2001, someone reported Falun Gong practitioners to the police. Yan Yong and her team arrested four Dafa practitioners including Du, Ms. Liu Junli, and Ms. Tian Shuanluo (a practitioner from Baoji County, now detained in the Shaanxi Province Women's Prison and serving a nine year sentence). They were detained at the Wugong County Custodial Station and were physically tortured there. They were also fined and sent to a forced labour camp. Their homes were raided and the perpetrators robbed over 10,000 yuan1 from them and confiscated a new photocopier worth 3,000 yuan.
In November 2001, Yan Yong ransacked Ms. Shang Yue'ai's home and fined her. Yan arrested Shang and detained her at the custodial station in Xingping City. In January 2002, Yan and her team arrested Mr. Wang Pingchuang in Baoji City and detained him at the custodial station at Wugong County. He was then sent to a forced labour camp. They ransacked his home and his family members were also threatened. In January 2002, Yan Yong and her team detained three Dafa practitioners at the custodial station at Wugong County, including Ms. Yan Renyan and Ms. Yan Xueyan, who went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. They were physically tortured, fined, and then sent to a forced labour camp.
In 2004, Yan Yong and her team tortured Dafa practitioner Li Tangtang from Sufang County. She was sentenced to two years in a forced labour camp. In 2006 they arrested Dafa practitioner Mr. Han from Hanjiakan, Xugu Township, and sent him to the Wugong County Detention Centre. They ransacked his home and fined him. In May 2007, they arrested practitioner Wang Pingchuang again and sent him to the Wugong County Detention Centre. They ransacked his home and threatened his family. He was detained at the detention centre for 20 days and was then sentenced to two years in a forced labour camp. Wang was then sent to the Zhazihe Forced Labour Camp and was tortured there.
In May 2007, Yan Yong and a group of policemen from the Puji Town Police station and the National Security Division of Zhouzhi County, drove five police cars to Houjia Village, Zhouzhi County. They surrounded the house of Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhao Yingjun and then climbed over the wall and broke into his house. They arrested Mr. Zhao and sent him to the Wugong County Custodial Station. He was tortured there for 16 days. They confiscated his Dafa books, materials, and his mobile phone (his daughter gave it to him as a birthday gift two months earlier).
At the time, Mr. Zhao's wife was in the backyard and heard something happening in the front. She rushed into the house and didn't find her husband. She went outside and found that four police cars were parked there. One police car had already left, taking her husband away. She immediately asked the villagers to come and see how those policemen persecuted practitioners. The police became desperate and attempted to arrest her as well. The police knew they were in the wrong and didn't dare to stay long or arrest her. Four or five policemen grabbed her hair and arms and dragged her into the house. The whole family suffered physically and mentally. People saw this and many of them were in tears. At the time, it was harvest season in the village. Mr. Zhao's family had four Chinese acres of orchard and two Chinese acres of wheat. They desperately need labourers to pick the apples and harvest the wheat. They suffered tremendous losses financially as a result of Mr. Zhao being arrested. The police also threatened their relatives and extorted 3,000 yuan and a new mobile phone from them. The whole family suffered a financial loss worth 6,000 yuan.
Yan Yong, is a female, over forty years old, and of medium height. She swears at anybody and actively pursues power. Since July 20th, 1999, Yan has closely followed the Jiang Zemin regime and has actively carried out its persecution policies. She even abducted practitioners in the areas beyond her power and sent them to the Wugong County Custodial Station. Now she suffers from breast cancer and lives a life no better than death.
We hereby warn those people who are still committing crimes against Dafa and Dafa practitioners knowingly or unknowingly. Please stop your evil deeds towards Dafa and Dafa practitioners and become good. We sincerely hope that you will grasp the precious opportunity in this historic moment, choose to make amends for your crimes by doing good deeds, and then you will have a good future.
