Police Kidnap and Rob Several Practitioners from Dafangshen Town, Dehui City, Jilin Province

Around 1pm, on December 17th, 2007, Mr. Liu Guiqing's home in Jiangjiadian Village, Dehui City, Jilin Province, was surrounded by three police cars, led by Liu Jiping, the chief of the Dafangshen Town Police Station. They forcefully dragged Mr. Liu Guiqing on to the street and put him in a police car. The police also attempted to kidnap Mr. Liu Guiqing's wife. Mr. Liu's wife argued strongly and interrogated them, "I have not violated any laws. Why do you try to arrest people illegally?" She held the door-frame and would not let them bring her away. After they confiscated their Falun Gong leaflets they detained Mr. Liu. Currently, Mr. Liu is still imprisoned in the Dehui Municipal Detention Centre.

Mr. Liu Guiqing is 54 years old. Before practising Falun Gong, he had many diseases. He suffered from headaches, hand pain and his whole body was in pain. His family did not have any money to help in the treatment of his illnesses. In 1995, after he began cultivating Falun Gong, his health was restored. He began to return to a normal health once again. However, because of Mr. Liu's belief in Falun Gong, he was kidnapped and taken to a prison cell. His family members are now enduring huge suffering and worry. All these problems are the result of the police who insist on following the Chinese Communist Party's instruction.

According to research, the chief of Dafangshen Town Police Station has unreasonably harassed, kidnapped, and extorted money from Falun Gong practitioners.

Several days before December 11th, policemen Chang Xiande, Xian Honggang, and the driver Zhang Dalong rushed into Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Gao Guibo's home to search and forcefully confiscate her Dafa materials. At the same time, they also forcibly asked whether her home was installed with a satellite receiver. At that time, Ms. Gao managed to escape while the police were searching.

Around 10am, on December 13th, the chief Liu Jiping, and Xian Honggang went Ms. Gao's and attempted to persecute her again. Because Ms. Gao was not at home, they could not have their way. Ms. Gao's husband, Mr. Qu Guangyi, a Falun Gong practitioner, has insisted on his belief and as a result is currently imprisoned in the Yinmahe Forced Labour Camp in Jiutai. In addition Mr. Qu's mother has suffered a relapse of her illness and died prematurely after finding out her son was arrested again by police after being released from forced labour.

At 9:30pm, January 22nd, 2007, the chief Liu Jiping incited policemen Chang Xiande, Xue Huanwen, Zhang Dalong and Xian Honggang to go over a wall and jump into Dafa practitioner Ms. Su Yafen's home at Changchunling Village. They pushed down Ms. Su, and handcuffed her. After forcefully carrying out this brutal persecution of Ms. Su, they imprisoned her in the Dehui Municipal Detention Centre. On February 7th, 2007, they forcefully sent Ms. Su to the Hezuizi Female Forced Labour Camp in Changchun.
