Ms. Guo Juxiang from Miaojia Shangtuan Village, Beimeng Township, Changyi City, Shandong Province passed away on January 26th, 2009. She had been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) relentlessly before her death.

Ms. Guo Juxiang learned Falun Gong in February 1999. She went on a business trip to Yantai City in early July 2001. In the evening of September 17th, 2001, she was reported for distributing leaflets exposing the persecution of Falun Gong and police from the Qishan Police Station, Zhifu District, Yantai City arrested her. Zhang Shaobo and some other policemen kicked her in the lower back to the point where she could no longer stand up. A team leader at the detention centre shocked her with four or five electric batons until she lost consciousness.

In the evening of September 18th, 2001, Ms. Guo was arrested again, taken to the Zhifu District Detention Centre and then transferred to Wangcun Forced Labour Camp one month later. Since she was covered with cuts and bruises, the Wangcun Forced Labour Camp refused to accept her, so the police had to bribe them to do so. Ms. Guo was running a high fever and unable to eat. Three months later, the forced labour camp instructed her family to pay a fee and take her back home.

At that point, Ms. Guo could no longer take care of herself because of the ordeals that she'd gone through. On April 10th, 2007, Ms. Guo's husband and daughter were arrested, which was another heavy blow to Ms. Guo's psyche. Officer Gao Xiu from the Zhifu District Police Sub-department threatened to ransack her home despite her being physically injured and mentally unstable. Ms. Guo passed away on January 26th, 2009.
