Forty-six Innocent Women are Held at Chongqing Women's Forced Labour Camp

The Chongqing Women's Forced Labour Camp is in Shabao, Jiangbei District of Chongqing City. Most detained Falun Gong practitioners are incarcerated at brigade No. 4. Those innocent women are assigned inmates who monitor and torture them 24 hours a day. The inmate monitors are drug addicts, and they force practitioners to stand or squat in a military style for long periods of time. They berate and beat practitioners at will. The following is a partial list of the detained practitioners at Chongqing Women's Forced Labour Camp.

Ms. Hu Xinzheng, a practitioner from Wanzhou District, Chongqing City, is 55 years old. She was taken to Shuanghekou Police Station in Wanzhou District by officers around 10 a.m. on August 20th, 2008.

Ms. Tangli is a practitioner from Yubei District, Chongqing City. She was incarcerated in a forced labour camp in 2001.

Ms. Zhu Qiyu is from Wenhua Township, Liangping, Chongqing City. She is 68 years old. On July 25th, 2008 she was arrested while watching a Falun Gong video with 14 other practitioners in a practitioner's home.

Ms. Chen Tianming and Ms. Liu Xinhui are practitioners from Qingang Township, Bishan, Chongqing City. Around 1 p.m. on July 9th, 2009, the women were forced into a police vehicle. The police took their house keys and searched their homes.

Ms. Fu Junguang, Ms. Tian Rongxiu, Ms. Chen Tinfeng, and Ms. Zhou Yirong are practitioners from Dadukou District, Chongqing City. On December 23rd, 2008, they were taken into custody when they were clarifying the truth in Banan District and were taken to Jielong Township Police Station.

Ms. Mei Yinhong is a practitioner from Dadukou District in Chongqing City. On the afternoon of July 22nd, 2009, several policemen from the Domestic Security Division of Jiulongpuo District Police Department, Chongqing City broke into her home and searched the premises. They forcefully took Ms. Mei away She is over 60 years old.

Ms. Xiao Lizhu, a practitioner from Chongqing City, is over 60 years old. She is a retiree from the Chongqing Tax Bureau. She was arrested on her way home on August 14th, 2008 by police from the Songshuqiao Police Station of Yubei District. On August 15th, she was detained at Yiwanshui Detention Centre, Huixin Township, Yubei District. She was sentenced to 18 months in a forced labour camp.

Ms. Zhan Peilan, a Falun Gong practitioner from Chongqing City, is a retiree from Dajiang Vehicle Manufacturing. She was sentenced to three years in prison in the Banan District Court on October 4th, 2000.

Ms. Li Tinwei, a practitioner from Tongliang, Chongqing City, is 60 years old. On December 19th, 2009, Li was telling others the facts about Falun Gong on a street. When someone reported her to the police she was taken directly to Chongqing Women's Forced Labour Camp and held for one year.

Ms. Zhang Jun, a practitioner from Chongqing, was sentenced to three years in prison in July 2001.
Ms. Xu Yonggui, a practitioner from Yubei District, Chongqing City, is 58 years old. She lives at Yubei Petroleum Base. In the morning of July 21st, 2009 Ms. Xu was distributing Falun Gong leaflets exposing the persecution in the Kayun residential area of Yubei. Officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Police Department followed and then arrested her. She was sentenced to one year in prison and has since been transferred to Shabao Women's Forced Labour Camp in Chongqing City.

Ms. Huang Bingrong, a retiree from Qunhui Printing Shop in Chongqing, was sentenced to 18 months in prison.

Ms. Wang Yi, a practitioner from Yuzhong District, Chongqing City, is over 50 years old, was taken by police on August 7th, 2009 and later sentenced to one year in prison.

Ms. Gan Lirong, a practitioner from Longhuhuayuan District of Chongqing, is 54 years old. She is a retiree from a hotel in Shenzhen. On April 21st, 2009, she was reported to police by a security guard while she was distributing informational materials in a residential area. The police arrested her and searched her home. They confiscated Falun Gong books, a computer, a printer, and CDs, etc. On May 7th, 2009, she was sentenced to two years in a forced labour camp.
