Respected Middle School Teacher and His Mother Both Sentenced to Prison

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhu Yuchun is a history teacher at the Yixing City Yicheng Middle School in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province. In his life he follows the principles of "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance". He is widely recognised as a good teacher, virtuous, with a good work attitude. However, in March 2010, Mr. Zhu was sentenced to four years of imprisonment by a local court. His mother, Ms. Wang Juying, was sentenced to three years.

In July 2009, when Mr. Zhu was making informational materials, he explained the facts about Falun Gong to the personnel working in the printing shop. However, since the people working there had been deceived and lied to about Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party, they reported him to the local government. Mr. Zhu was arrested and detained in the Yixing Detention Centre.

On January 21st, 2010, the police in Yixing City deceived Mr. Zhu's mother when she went to the detention centre and detained her as well. Now, only Mr. Zhu's wife and two-year-old son remain at home. The situation has put the family in a very difficult situation.

The local government, the police, and the legal system in Yixing City are all involved in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. They have long been using deceptive tactics and lies, which has poisoned the minds of many people.
