Ms. Xu Xuecun started practising Falun Gong in 1999. Since then, she has become optimistic in life, and developed an outgoing personality. She lives a simple life and treats people with sincerity.
On June 25th, 2010, police officer Zhou Guangrong from Changbai Police Station deceived her into opening the door of her home. The police then went into her bedroom and broke open a locked dresser. Zhou made three separate phone calls and had twelve people from the local 610 Office [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong] come there. Liu Junxiang, the head of the Yangpu 610 Office, led three groups of men to Ms. Xu's home. He instructed a large policeman to grab the small elderly woman, lift her up and throw her to the ground. When Ms. Xu hit the ground, the policeman used his hands to push and roll her body. Immediately, Ms. Xu's legs and arms started swelling. The right side of her face was swollen and her eyes were black from bruising. One of her teeth also fell out. She sustained severe internal injuries.
In order to avoid taking responsibility, another officer from the Changbai Street 610 Office, He Huifang (female), said of Ms. Xu, "She has a low blood platelet count" at Longchang Road Brainwashing Centre. Another agent from the 610 Office, Guo Lianmei (female), was also at the scene.
Currently, Ms. Xu's whereabouts are unknown.
