The whole family started to practise Falun Gong in 1996. The parents' various illnesses soon disappeared. The three brothers were honest and treated their parents with filial respect. They had a happy family.
The youngest of the three brothers, Mr. Guo Jiasheng had been previously arrested and detained on October 28th, 2002. Not knowing his son's whereabouts, father Mr. Guo Huiming died from grief and stress on February 11th, 2003. Mr. Guo Jiasheng was later sentenced to ten years in prison in August 2003. His mother Ms. Cui Zhimin could not bear the severe mental anguish and died on December 14th, 2004. The other two brothers were sentenced to one and a half years of forced labour in 2007.
Youngest Brother Mr. Guo Jiasheng Arrested Many Times
The youngest brother, Mr. Guo Jiasheng, went to Beijing to appeal to appeal for justice for Falun Gong in June 1999. He was detained several times by his work unit, Weifang Plastic Factory, and was fired from his workplace eventually. On April 6th, 2002, Mr. Guo was arrested and incarcerated in the brainwashing centre at the Weifang Industrial Training School. He escaped and had to leave home to avoid further persecution. However, he was again arrested at his rental place on October 28th, 2002. He was sent to the Kuiwen District Detention Centre and tortured. He was subsequently sent to the notorious Changle Forced Labour Camp, where he suffered additional cruel torture. As a result of the persecution, his eyesight started to fail, and he was so thin that his family members barely recognised him. Mr. Guo Jiasheng was sentenced to ten years in prison on August 5th, 2003, and was held in the Shandong Province Prison in Jinan City. He was again tortured in the prison.
Parents Passed Away
The father of the family, Mr. Guo Huiming was arrested, detained and fined when he attempted to go to Beijing to appeal in October 2000. The electricity to his home was cut off. His youngest son, Mr. Guo Jiasheng was arrested on October 28th, 2002. However, the authorities in Weifang City did not notify his family of his arrest until a year later. Not knowing whether his son was alive or dead, Mr. Guo Huiming could not bear the physical and mental stress, and died on February 11th, 2003 at the age of 72.
After the father's death and the youngest son's imprisonment, the mother, Ms. Cui Zhimin could not bear such severe mental anguish and died on December 14th, 2004.
Two Brothers Sent to Forced Labour
At noon on September 11th, 2007, a large number of plainclothes officers dispatched by the Kuiwen District Police Department in Weifang City arrested the other two brothers, Mr. Guo Jiahong and Mr. Guo Jiafu. The police took all valuables from their home. Their relatives asked around, and several months later, they learned that the two brothers had been sent to a forced labour camp to serve a one-and-a-half-year term.
