Ms. Zhu Yifang, 47 years old, is a Falun Gong practitioner from Guangyuan, Sichuan Province. She was an official with the Guangyuan City's Liaison Office in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. She has been arrested and detained many times since the persecution of Falun Gong began. In prison she was hung up for seven days and nights. Another torture method she was subjected to is being pulled from five directions. She was also injected with unknown drugs, until she lost consciousness.
Even now, Ms. Zhu Yifang still cannot walk after the injections. She has to hold onto a wheelchair or use a walking stick. Two tumours grew on her back and her right leg, and were unbearably painful. She couldn't sit upright, but had to bend her body and lean against something. In extreme pain, she cried and said: “This is all because of the persecution. Before I was persecuted, I was very healthy.”
Ms. Zhu wrote a petition letter to the governments of Sichuan Province, Chengdu City and Guangyuan City, the National People's Congress, the Procuratorate, the police department, judicial courts and media in November 2010, to expose the persecution and tortures she suffered at the hands of the 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) in Sichuan, Chengdu Women's Prison and Chengdu Detention Centre.
From April to November 2006, Ms. Zhu was cuffed and pulled in five directions by the police in the Guangyuan Detention Centre. She was also subjected to forced feedings and was injected with unknown drugs.
Afterwards, Ms. Zhu was sentenced to seven years in prison. She was sent to Chengdu Women's Prison on November 14th, 2006. Because she refused to wear the prison uniform, the prison guards ordered the inmates to violently strip off all her clothes, leaving only her bra and underwear. In the Chengdu Police Officials' Hospital, she was injected with two to eight bottles of unknown drugs every day. Afterward, her heartbeat became irregular, she felt great pain in her blood vessels and her abdomen swelled.
She was persecuted in the hospital for more than five months. More than 100 greenish looking pinpricks can still be seen on her buttocks. 610 Office agents from the Sichuan Office, Guangyuan Office and Cangxi Office came to the hospital to check on her physical condition. Only after they verified that Ms. Zhu was extremely weak and wouldn't survive if she was taken back to detention, did they finally agree to let Ms. Zhu's family members take her back home.
Those responsible for Ms. Zhu's condition must be brought to justice and Ms. Zhu should be compensated her for all her financial losses and physical injuries.
