Mr. Jiao Lingyun Killed and Ms. Luan Xiuyuan and Ms. Dai Lixia Both in Critical Condition

On June 10th, Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Jiao Lingyun, Ms. Dai Lixia, and Ms. Luan Xiuyuan were arrested by a group of police headed by Geng Zhendong, deputy chief of the police department of Jixian County, Shuangyashan City and Wu Hua, chief of the National Security Group of Jixian County. At the time of the arrest the practitioners were working in the Jianxin Middle School of Jixian County, when the police broke in without any warrant. Mr. Jiao was later detained in the Jixian County Detention Centre, while Ms. Dai Lixia and Ms. Luan Xiuyuan, originally from Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province, were held in the Jiamisi City Detention Centre.

Mr. Jiao was killed on July 8th during his detention, only 29 days after he was arrested (for details see: http://www.clearwisdom.net/html/articles/2011/7/14/126705.html). According to some eyewitnesses who saw his body in the hospital, he was as thin as a skeleton and had bruises on his head and an obvious black scar on the left side of his neck. His clothes were wet, his face was dark purple and a deep pinch mark was apparent between his eyebrows.

Currently police from a subgroup of the National Security Group of Jiamusi City Police Department is working with the procuratorate of Xiangyang District of Jiamusi City to fabricate official accusations against Ms. Dai Lixia and Ms. Luan Xiuyuan. Due to the mistreatment during her detention, Ms. Luan is now in critical condition. She is too emaciated to walk on her feet. She was injected with medicine, but the injection would not take. Ms. Dai is also in critical condition and she is in even worse condition than Ms. Luan.

Ms. Luan has been arrested by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) many times since July 20th, 1999, the day the CCP began its persecution of Falun Gong, and was fired from her previous job. She has two underage children and her mother, in her 80s, is in poor health. The persecution of Ms. Luan has been hard on her family and brought them great sorrow.

Ms. Dai Lixia, about 53 years old, had suffered from paralysis in her lower limbs and many other diseases in the past, but her health significantly improved after she began practising Falun Gong. In the past several years she has been subjected to relentless persecution including harassment by the police, arrest, forced labour, extortion and detainment by local authorities. During the three years of forced labour in the Jiamusi City Labour Camp she was cruelly tortured many times.

We hereby call on the world's people to pay attention to the plight of Ms. Dai and Ms. Luan, innocent victims in the CCP's ruthless campaign to “eradicate” Falun Gong.
