The Shenzhen City Brainwashing Centre Remains Active in the Persecution of Falun Gong

A notorious brainwashing centre (deceptively called the Law Education School) in Xili County, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, has been exposed on the Minghui website multiple times for its brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. However, there are still a lot of crimes taking place, which are unknown to the public. The brainwashing centre has been spending large amounts of taxpayers' money to persecute innocent, law abiding citizens.

There are three types of personnel employed at the Shenzhen City Brainwashing Centre. The first are the permanent staff who are members of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), recruited from various units of the judicial, political and legal systems. These people are the core members who carry out the persecution policy. The second level comprises supernumerary staff members who are retired or unemployed people, hired at low wages. The brainwashing centre authorities have ordered these people to state that they are from the “Care and Love Association.” They are told to closely follow and monitor practitioners 24 hours a day. They are charged with reporting on words and actions of these practitioners to the authorities. The third type of staff member are “transformed” [forcibly renounce Falun Gong] former practitioners who act as the CCP's minions to brainwash and persecute practitioners. Among these collaborators are Wang Hongfa and his wife, who live at the brainwashing centre.

The salaries are paid by the Shenzhen City treasury. Aside from the salaries, the cost of running the brainwashing centre is at least 300,000 yuan¹ a month. To detain and brainwash a practitioner who holds a Shenzhen City resident registration will bring 70,000 yuan as a reward to the brainwashing centre. The centre authorities have listed false staff positions in order to obtain more money from the government. They have fabricated various false projects to obtain more reward money. The brainwashing centre authorities, under the pretext of “information exchange,” have also toured the country and overseas, and paid out bonuses to people. Some have had luxury renovations of their offices done.

The regular staff's knowledge of Falun Gong is limited, but they still try to brainwash practitioners into renouncing Falun Gong. The “transformed” people do more harm than the regular staff. They threaten, coerce, entice and try to deceive practitioners. They coerce practitioners to write the Three Statements to renounce practising Falun Gong under extreme pressure. However, after these practitioners are released from the brainwashing environment, the vast majority of them return to cultivation.

Division head Wen Chuan is around 45 years old and was once the head of a District Drug Addiction Treatment Centre in Shenzhen. She used to study psychology and has read some books on Buddhism. She put in a lot of effort into bribing and controlling the collaborators. One person, who had suffered terribly in a forced labor camp and had been brainwashed for over three years, was coerced into giving up Falun Gong. After she was released and was going to buy a house, Wen Chuan gave her a gift of furniture and pretended to be concerned about her daughter's education. In return, Wen Chuan asked this person to write articles to express gratitude to Wen. Wen Chuan devised intricate plans to make a name for herself and received an award as a “national pioneer” in “transforming” Falun Gong practitioners.

Zhou Huaichun, head of the brainwashing centre, claims to be a scholar of Buddhism and new religions from around the world. Zhou utilises religious study to cover up the intent to sabotage religions and instil fallacies. Zhou's aim is to clear the way for the CCP to become the single ruling “religion.”

Chen Qiuhu, deputy head of the brainwashing centre, told people that he was forced to do this job against his will. In reality, he is filled with the CCP's deceptive propaganda. He once went to the Women's Forced Labour Camp in Guangdong Province and threatened detained practitioners from Shenzhen that they would be transferred to his brainwashing centre if they refused to give up their practice of Falun Gong.

Wang Hongfa and Gao Yan, a husband and wife from Hubei Province, are examples of collaborators employed by the brainwashing centre. They have beaten, deceived and tortured Falun Gong practitioners. Collaborator Liu Tianshu was once detained in Sanshui Women's Forced Labour Camp. Later, she was “transformed” and came to Shenzhen Brainwashing Centre to participate in the persecution. Similarly, Wang Xiaoyan and Li Hailian refuse to realise their crimes and continue to act as the CCP's minions. These people use wicked, twisted understandings of the Falun Gong teachings to deceive practitioners. In addition, they threaten practitioners and subject them to sleep deprivation. They employ different techniques under different situations in order to attack practitioners.
