Falun Dafa Press Conference Broadcast on Bulgarian National TV
2005-02-26A national cable TV station called Diema 2 featured the conference in their evening news programme on 20th February 2005. The footage showed pictures of the exercises and the book Falun Gong (already published in Bulgarian). The reporter explained briefly about the practice and one of the practitioners was interviewed about the advantages of Falun Dafa. Bulgarian practitioners were happy that so many people had got the chance to learn more about Falun Gong. -
Severodonetsk-online Reports on “The Journey of Compassion" Art Exhibition in Ukraine
2005-02-25China is the only country that has banned the Falun Gong practice. A large number of human rights organisations in various countries all came forward to support Falun Gong. It is widely recognised that the Chinese leader, Jiang Zemin, violated human rights...At the exhibition, other than the artwork of the famous painter, there were various paintings and sculptures by Falun Gong practitioners in Ukraine on display. The atmosphere at the exhibition was very harmonious, showing the peaceful inner world of people living by the beliefs of “Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance”. -
Falun Gong Appeal Headlines Czech TV News
2005-02-23On the 5th of February, an appeal in Hradec Kralove was visited by regional TV reporters, who came to shoot some footage and interview the practitioners. The report was broadcast that same evening in all three of the station’s news broadcasts and in a repeat the next day. The report on the Falun Gong activity was actually the first feature in that day’s news programme, so hundreds of thousands people who tuned in to watch the news got to learn about Falun Gong‘s appeal to stop the persecution in China. -
Finnish Newspaper Kaleva: Hundreds of Harassing Phone Calls Target Finnish Falun Gong Practitioners
2005-02-20Starting from February 6, Falun Gong practitioners from countries all over the world became the target of a Chinese Government phone harassment campaign. In Finland and other countries of Europe, as well as in the United States and Canada, practitioners’ home, work and mobile phones received continuous pre-recorded phone calls. The content of the recordings was identical to the propaganda that Jiang Zemin and his cohorts have used as a part of their persecution campaign against Falun Gong. -
Czech Newspapers Report on a Falun Gong Activity in Zlin
2005-02-14On the 1st of February, Falun Gong practitioners from the Czech Republic visited the city of Zlin and held an activity in the Square of Peace. Many people in Zlin were interested in learning to practise Falun Gong. Journalists from three newspapers attended the appeal and interviewed practitioners. UKFGIC: Chinese Communist Regime Harasses British Citizens on U.K. Soil with Intimidating Telephone Calls
2005-02-11LONDON (FGIC-UK) – Since last Sunday, British citizens such as retirees, Joan and Daryl Sherry from Stockport, Cheshire have been bombarded with messages recorded in both Chinese and English containing Chinese Communist propaganda. This is the latest tactic in the campaign of the Chinese authorities to extend its persecution of the peaceful and popular Chinese practice of Falun Gong abroad and is aimed at intimidating overseas practitioners and their families. Homes across Europe, the U.S., Canada, Australia and even Sri Lanka have been targeted. -
Czech Newspaper Rovnost: Falun Gong Practitioners in Znojmo Inform the Public about the Violent Persecution
2005-02-09People who were passing through the centre of Znojmo today witnessed an uncommon scene. Three men in meditation positions were performing the Chinese practice of Falun Gong. This silent protest was to raise awareness about the brutal persecution of practitioners of this method in distant China. Their fellow practitioners were distributing material informing the public about and describing the shocking methods of torture that the Chinese police utilise against Falun Gong practitioners. -
EFGIC: Homes Across Europe and North America Receive Chinese Communist Propaganda Phone Calls
2005-02-08LONDON [EFGIC] – Scores of individuals in the U.S., Canada and at least a dozen countries throughout Europe including the U.K., reported receiving phone calls yesterday with recorded messages unmistakably from China’s Communist regime. The messages contained propaganda demonizing Falun Gong and claiming the Chinese Government is defending “human rights” by “saving” people from the traditional Chinese practice. -
The Epoch Times: Wave of Harassing Phone Calls with Communist Propaganda
2005-02-07Across Europe and North America, people received coordinated waves of pre-recorded phone calls on Sunday. The content defames Falun Gong, in both English and Chinese language. “This is harassment, it’s a provocative act,” said Falun Dafa Infocenter spokesperson Erping Zhang, who personally received six of the calls. The Epoch Times first learned of the calls in Europe. People in Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Holland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Russia, Sweden, United Kingdom and Switzerland all reported the calls. -
Article from German Newspaper "The Sächsische": Rescued from a Forced Labour Camp
2005-02-06While she suffered, German friends and acquaintances had mounted a rescue effort. They collected signatures demanding her freedom and distributed postcards, asking that people send them directly to the slave labour camp. On January 4th 2004, Xiong Wei gained her freedom. She is now in Germany. -
Madrid TV Station Broadcast a Special Report on Falun Gong Entitled “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance”
2005-01-29After Spanish Falun Gong practitioners held an anti-torture exhibition at Madrid’s Sun Gate Square, a TV station in Madrid interviewed some of the practitioners and transmitted a special report on Falun Gong entitled, “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance”. The report was aired during prime time viewing in the programme “Seven Days of Madrid” on Sunday January 16th. -

Spain’s State Radio Station Interviews a Falun Gong Practitioner in their Peak-Time Show

We also learned about the horrific persecution occurring in China. As you demonstrated in your anti-torture exhibition in Sun Gate Square, this persecution was pointless right from the beginning. Media in Brno Continue to Report on the Persecution Against Falun Gong
2005-01-24In the centre of Brno, a several-hour-long activity was held to show the kind of torture being waged against people who practise Falun Gong in China. Organisers of this event wanted to raise awareness about the inhuman torture Falun Gong practitioners in China are exposed to and also introduce the Falun Gong practice to the public. -
EFGIC: 140 Falun Gong Deaths in China Reported in Two Months despite On-going Cover-up
2005-01-23LONDON [EFGIC]– In November and December 2004, sources inside China confirmed the deaths of another 140 Falun Gong practitioners from state persecution. Former Chinese Communist leader Jiang Zemin initiated the campaign against the peaceful practice in 1999, declaring that, “The Communist Party must defeat Falun Gong.” The 140 cases collected during the two-month period are of Falun Gong practitioners who were killed over several years. Due to China’s information blockade, however, their stories were only revealed recently.
