Thailand: Practitioners Appeal in Front of the Chinese Embassy in Bangkok, Call for an End to CCP's Six Year Persecution of Falun Gong

On July 23, over twenty Falun Dafa practitioners held a candlelight vigil in front of the Chinese Embassy in Bangkok to commemorate the practitioners who have been killed in the persecution in China. Practitioners also called upon people to take notice of the six years of brutal persecution of Falun Gong and to help end it. -
Radio Free Asia: The World Organisation for Human Rights Sues Xu Guangchun, Secretary of the Henan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party
2005-07-30On July 21, 2005, Xu Guangchun, Secretary of the Henan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party, was sued by the World Organisation for Human Rights when he visited San Francisco, CA. The lawsuit charged Xu with slandering Falun Gong and molding public opinion to persecute Falun Gong. RFA reported on July 25 that human rights organisation pointed out that Xu Guangchun had committed serious crimes in the persecution of Falun Gong when he was Deputy Minister of the Publicity Department and concurrent Director of Broadcasting and TV Bureau, and Secretary of the Henan Provincial Committee of Communist Party. -

Taiwan: Falun Gong Teachers' Seminar in Yunlin Receives Recommendations from Seventeen School Principals

A Falun Gong seminar for teachers was held from July 23 to 24, 2005 at Jinying Hall, Huwei High School in Yunlin. The seminar received recommendations from seventeen school principals and attracted nearly 200 faculty members, staff members and local residents. The conference hall was full. -
Washington Times (United States): Site claims 3 million former Communists
2005-07-29In November, the Epoch Times published a nine-part polemic called "Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party" that was distributed clandestinely in China and outlined the Communist Party's history of repression and human rights violations. "The goal is not to overthrow the [the Communist Party], but to give people information so they can make their own moral judgment," said Shujia Gong, a practitioner of Falun Gong and student at George Mason University, who said he has 10 friends in China who have quit the party. -

"I used to work in the 610 office and I did not see in person Falun Gong practitioners' deaths. But I saw arrested Falun Gong members and dissidents being interrogated by torture. Basically it was physical punishment using an iron bar to beat them or hanging them from a door or elsewhere in handcuffs for a long time." -

On the 23rd of July, the Third Overseas Young Falun Dafa Practitioners' Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference was held in the Renaissance Hotel in Washington DC. About 300 practitioners, including young children and their parents, attended the conference. The young practitioners' ages ranged from four or five years old to high school teens. -

New Zealand: Falun Dafa Invited to Participate in the Victoria University Arts Festival
2005-07-25On July 6th, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners from Wellington, New Zealand accepted an invitation from Victoria University to participate in the arts festival organised by the university. At the arts festival, practitioners set up a booth. Some practitioners demonstrated the exercises while others distributed leaflets and other materials about Falun Gong, and introduced the practise to people who were interested.
