• Taiwan: Taizhong County Chongguang Elementary School Teachers Hold 2005 "Education through Studying Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance"

  Between the 2nd and the 10th of July, 2005, the Chongguang Elementary School in Taizhong County held a nine-day educational seminar for all the teachers in Taizhong. The seminar focused on studying "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance." Not surprisingly, teachers were not the only participants who attended. Many people from the community came as well.

• Canada: Falun Gong Group is Warmly Received While Participating in Public Events

  On the afternoon of August 13th, 2005, Health and Long-Term Care Minister of Ontario George Smitherman held activities in his district in Toronto to meet local residents. The Toronto Falun Dafa Association was invited to take part in the activity and to give music and dance performances. The weather was cool and several hundred local residents attended the activities.

• United States: Falun Gong Practitioners Win Award in the Montana Sweet Pea Parade

  This was our third year participating in this well attended parade. Spectators were very happy when our float went by and there was lots of clapping. They had expressions of awe on their faces, and seemed to appreciate the beauty and sacredness of the float, along with its beautiful music. A young lady stopped by our float after the parade and told us, "Your entry is my favorite every year."

  As soon as the Falun Gong procession stepped off on the parade route, spectators applauded. Many people waved to the practitioner dressed as a heavenly maiden on the float and exclaimed, "Beautiful!" The waist drum team played and viewers applauded warmly.

• Israel: Practising Falun Gong on Tel Aviv Beach

  The Tel Aviv City Government recently invited practitioners to teach people Falun Gong during the city's "One Hour Before Sunset" programme at Central City Beach. Many citizens have come to the beach to learn about the truth of the persecution and to practise the exercises. The programme is to continue until the end of August.

  On August the 7th, 2005, a Mid-autumn Festival celebration was held in Boston's Chinatown. Dafa practitioners set up a stall with the theme of rescuing children of Falun Gong practitioners being persecuted in China. They distributed flyers at each intersection, and young practitioners distributed flyers, as well as folded paper lotus flowers.

  Falun Gong practitioner Wang Yali recalled her experience of being locked into a small cage. She still had a vivid memory of the scene six years ago when she was arrested together with other Falun Gong practitioners and detained in Jingshan Stadium. Wang Yali said, "The police pulled Falun Gong practitioners down the stairs to torture them. The practitioners' heads would get hit and knocked on the steps when they were dragged down the stairs."
