South Africa: 'The Mercury' Reports on the Chinese Consulate's Attempt to Persecute Durbin Institute of Technology Student
2004-11-21In its November 18th, 2004 edition, the South African Newspaper The Mercury reported the story of a young Chinese woman who endured 18 months in a forced labour camp in her home country, and now finds that the persecution has followed her to South Africa. Twenty eight year old Lin Li, an exchange student at the Durbin Institute of Technology, started teaching Falun Gong classes three months ago, and soon afterwards, the Chinese Consulate officials asked DIT to stop her from holding classes at the institute. -
Zambia: Su Rong, Party Secretary of Gansu Province, Sued for Homicide and Torture - Becomes First Chinese Party Official to Be Subject of a Manhunt by Foreign Police
2004-11-21On November 4th, 2004, a civil suit was filed on behalf of Falun Gong practitioners in China who were killed, tortured and harassed during Su's tenure as head of "610 Office" in Jilin Province, China. On November 13th, Zambian police issued an arrest warrant for Su Rong for contempt of court, after he missed two court dates on November 8th and 13th. The plaintiffs, including Mr Zhao Ming, are Falun Dafa practitioners from Jilin Province and Gansu Province. -
EFGIC: Zambian Court Issues Arrest Warrant for High-ranking Chinese Communist Party Official
2004-11-20LONDON [EFGIC] – The High Court of Zambia issued an official arrest warrant and dispatched police to search for a Chinese official held in contempt of court after being charged with the murder of Falun Gong practitioners. Su Rong, the former head of Jilin Province’s “6-10 Office” and current Gansu Province Communist Party Secretary, was part of a Chinese delegation that was travelling to several African nations. Upon his arrival in Zambia on November 4, individual plaintiffs filed a civil lawsuit charging him with accounts of murder, torture, and degrading treatment of Falun Gong practitioners. -

Bolivia: Criminal Lawsuit Filed Against Jiang Zemin and Luo Gan in Bolivia
2004-11-20A criminal lawsuit was filed in Bolivia on the afternoon of November 16th, 2004, against former Chinese President Jiang Zemin and politburo standing member Luo Gan for the crimes of genocide and torture. In the lawsuit, the lawyers have requested that the prosecutor issue international arrest warrants for Jiang Zemin and Luo Gan and bring these prime culprits before the Bolivian courts. -

Police in Zambia Issue a Warrant for the Arrest of Su Rong, Gansu Provincial Communist Party Secretary
2004-11-18According to a report by the Epoch Times on the 4th of November 2004, Zambian police were issued with an arrest warrant today for Gansu Provincial Communist Party Secretary Su Rong. He is sued in the High Court of Zambia by Falun Gong practitioners for his involvement in killing and torturing Falun Gong practitioners in China. A nationwide search for him is taking place. The High Court of Zambia was to consider the lawsuit against Su Rong by Falun Gong on Saturday the 13th of November. -
