Australia: Falun Gong Practitioner Mr David Liang Returns to Work Three Months after Being Shot in South Africa

On June 28th, 2004, the world was shocked to learn that Falun Gong practitioners were fired upon by hired gunmen in South Africa during Chinese officials' state visit. In the incident, Australian Falun Gong practitioner Mr David Liang was shot in both of his feet. Now, David has recovered and returned to work three months after the incident. -
United States: An Attendee is Brought to Tears as Practitioner Clarifies the Truth at UN World Leaders Forum

On September 23rd, 2004, the second annual World Leaders Forum held a special panel discussion at Columbia University on the topic of how to eliminate violence and discrimination against women. After each of the foreign ministers presented her opinions on how to protect the rights of women, Ms Albright moderated the discussion and answered questions from the audience. A Falun Gong practitioner asked how world leaders should take action to help female Chinese practitioners and stop the persecution. -
Argentina: Zhuan Falun Displayed at a Book Show in Cordoba City

Every year, there is a book show in Cordoba City. After practitioners explained Falun Dafa to the organisers and introduced Zhuan Falun [the main text of Falun Dafa] to the city government, Falun Gong practitioners were invited to the book show and given a place to demonstrate the exercises and a hold a seminar to introduce the Book. -

On October 9th, 2004, Falun Gong practitioners from San Diego and Los Angeles took part in "Walnut on Parade" as part of the Walnut Family Festival. The City of Walnut is located in the Los Angeles area. The parade judging committee praised the Falun Gong practitioners' procession, which won the first prize in the float category. -

2004-10-09On October 5th, 2004, members of the Congressional-Executive Commission on China (CECC) presented its Annual Report for 2004. The CECC was created with the legislative mandate to monitor human rights and the development of the rule of law in China, and to submit an annual report to the US President and the Congress. This years report states, "The freedom to believe and to practise one's religious faith is a universal and essential right. The Chinese leadership must open itself to dialogue on establishing true freedom of religion for all its citizens." -
