United States: Practitioners Collect Signatures and Clarify the Truth of Falun Gong During the Seventh International Dragon Boat Festival
2003-08-16The Seventh International Dragon Boat Festival was held on August 9 to August 10 at Jack London Square in Oakland, California. 32 teams with over 700 competitors took part in the event. The festival drew over 15,000 people from the Bay Area. A Falun Dafa booth was set up at the Square's entrance. Practitioners from Oakland and other areas started a signature drive to rescue Charles Li and also enthusiastically introduced Falun Gong to visitors. -

2003-08-14On the afternoon of Aug. 9, 2003, Falun Gong practitioners from San Diego and Los Angles successfully introduced Dafa in the Pomona Public Library in southern California. Following a video and questions was an exercise demo and teaching session. The beautiful exercise music resounded in the conference room and the atmosphere was very peaceful. -

2003-08-09A practitioner had just finished his Ph.D. studies and was moving out of the state to take a job in another city. On his last day at school, he invited his friends, colleagues and those who had practised Falun Gong before but had quit practising due to various reasons to a farewell picnic. On the day of the picnic about 50 people showed up to say goodbye to him.
