Atrocities at Changlinzi Forced Labour Camp: Burning Fingernails, Using People as Punching Bags, Violent Beatings

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) arrested Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhang Xiangfu four times because he persisted in practising Falun Gong. At Tiananmen Square, a police officer pushed him to the ground, stepped on his head and beat him until his face became deformed. At the Changlinzi Forced Labour Camp the guards burned his hands until they turned black and his fingernails fell off. The back of his hands were scorched and he was also forced to sit in a metal chair for 15 days straight. The perpetrators also invented a torture. They put handles on needles and shot them at the practitioners like darts. The needles stuck deep in the flesh and caused excruciating pain. -
Financial Persecution of Practitioners in Panjin City
2005-07-31Since the persecution began on July 20th 1999 Falun Gong practitioners in Panjin City, Liaoning Province have suffered severe financial persecution in addition to physical and spiritual persecution. According to the statistics from Xinglongtai District and Dawa County, Falun Gong practitioners in these two areas suffered a direct loss of 1,343,000 yuan, 443,000 yuan of which were in the form of illegal fines, 320,000 in the form of money extorted by police, and 580,000 in the form of suspended salaries. -
Greed of the Xinji Police
2005-07-31Officers ransacked homes of Falun Gong practitioners, confiscated valuables, and kept the cash found on the premises without issuing legal papers. When confronted about the articles taken, they simply deny taking them. "We don't issue receipts on anything confiscated from Falun Gong practitioners. It's no use asking us. The money will not be returned anyway. If we had given you a receipt, what would happen if you exposed us on the Internet?". -
Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Xia Linkun Dies After Being Tortured at the Chaoyanggou Forced Labour Camp in Changchun City
2005-07-2931-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Xia Linkun was from Jilin Province. He was tortured for more than two and a half years in the Chaoyanggou Forced Labour Camp with electric batons, "riding an airplane", "massage", punching, kicking, sitting on a small stool, and other physical abuse. When he was released in the summer of 2004, he was so thin that he looked disfigured. He was forced to leave his home to avoid being arrested. His body never recovered from the torture, and he died on the evening of July 15th 2005. -
Falun Gong Practitioner Guo Henghong from Hubei Province Died as a Result of Persecution in 2002
2005-07-29Ms. Guo Henghong, 36, was fired by her company because she persisted in practising Falun Gong. She was arrested three times, and was subjected to shackles, tortures and brutal force-feeding. Ms. Guo was released in June 2001 when the force-feeding made her stomach bleed. She was forced to become homeless to avoid further persecution. Yet she was severely weakened by the persecution and passed away in July 2002. -
Four Elderly Practitioners from Shandong, Inner Mongolia and Tianjin Were Persecuted to Death
2005-07-2960 year old Mrs. Ci Yunling was a practitioner from Inner Mongolia. She had at least 10 different illnesses, which all disappeared shortly after she started practising Falun Dafa. She went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa in 2001. Authorities from the Chifeng City 610 Office arrested her and held her in the Tumuji Forced Labour Camp in Inner Mongolia, where she was forced to do hard labour. She developed mouth cancer and vomited blood constantly. She also developed insomnia. She passed away one year later. -
Constantly Harassed and Pressured, an Older Woman from Hebei Province Died in 2002
2005-07-29Ms. Liu Yufang was a resident of Baoding City, Hebei Province. The local police tried to force her to curse Teacher Li and Falun Gong. When she refused, they beat her. On many occasions, Chinese Communist Party (CCP) members also harassed, insulted, and cursed her because she practised Falun Gong. As a result of persecution by CCP perpetrators from the village, town, and county levels, Ms. Liu died on September 25th 2002. She was 95 years old. -
The Horrific Sexual Abuse of Women in Chinese Forced Labour Camps
2005-07-29The Women's Rights and Protection Act in the People's Republic of China's Constitution states clearly that "Women need special protection during menstruation, pregnancy, childbirth, and lactation." Nonetheless, reports of sexual assault, such as rape and forced abortion, frequently surface from Chinese forced labour camps. A female Falun Gong practitioner who escaped, stated, "The evil in those places is unimaginable to the outside world." -
Elderly Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms Li Maofen from Shandong Province Dies as a Result of Persecution
2005-07-28Ms. Li Maofen, who was over 60 years old was frequently persecuted by police. She was arrested for handing out leaflets exposing the persecution and she was sent to a forced labour camp where she suffered severe persecution. Following her release the police searched her home many times causing her to be traumatised. Due to the persecution she had symptoms of illness, fell into a coma and she was sent to hospital. Li Maoying died on June 12th, 2005. -
Exposing the Crimes of the Female Guards at the Kaiping Forced Labour Camp
2005-07-28The female guards from the women's group of the Kaiping Forced Labour Camp in Tangshan City, Hebei Province, have cruelly persecuted practitioners both mentally and physically. They intensely threatened, pressured, and deceived practitioners and sent them to be brainwashed. Chen Zhaoguang is 47 years old. She was a glib talker and good at making other people suffer. When a prisoner talked with a practitioner, Chen Zhaoguang specifically held a meeting of the prisoners and beat the prisoner who talked. -
The Persecution Experienced by Practitioner Ms. Chen Liguang Inside the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp
2005-07-28Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Chen Liguang, 42 years old, is from Liaoning Province. Because she practises Falun Gong, she has been arrested and tortured under orders of Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials on numerous occasions. Her home was also ransacked, eventually forcing her to leave the area and wander homeless around the country for nearly two years. In September 2003, Ms. Chen was arrested once again by police officers. During the next more than twenty months of detention, Ms. Chen suffered agonising struggles inside the infamous Masanjia Forced Labour Camp in Liaoning Province. -
Information on Six Falun Gong Practitioners from Tianjin, Beijing, Hubei Province and Other Locations Who Died as a Result of Persecution
2005-07-28After the Chinese Communist Party started to persecute Falun Gong, 49-year-old Ms Tian Zhirong went to Beijing in December 2000 by herself to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. Later, she was arrested and incarcerated in a forced labour camp. After suffering various physical tortures and mental torment, Tian Zhirong became weak. Even when she was released on medical parole for treatment, the police still frequently harassed her. Her husband was forced to divorce her under the intense pressure. In February 2002, Ms. Tian was again arrested and taken back to the forced labour camp for further persecution. After her term was due and she was released, the police still kept harassing and persecuting her. As a result of the relentless persecution, Tian Zhirong died on June 11th, 2005. -

2005-07-27"I have been unjustly held at the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp since 2001. In May 2001, the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp started a brutal persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners. The Savage Persecution of Falun Dafa Practitioners in Daxin Women's Prison in Beijing
2005-07-27Since July 20th, 1999, when the persecution began, many Falun Dafa practitioners have been detained at the Daxin Women's Prison in Beijing. They have been detained for over three years. Practitioners are forced to work overtime - working over 16 hours a day. If they don't finish their work on time, they have to continue to work and are forbidden to sleep or rest. A female practitioner who was disabled from beatings had to continue to work with an injured leg. -
Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Yu Meiying Dies after Son Wei Jianhui is Tortured to Death
2005-07-27Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Wei Jianhui recovered from a terminal illness through Falun Gong practice. After the persecution of Falun Gong began, he was detained and harassed many times, which finally resulted in his death in September 2004. When Mr. Wei's mother, Ms. Yu Meiying, went to appeal for justice for Falun Gong, she was subsequently arrested. Eventually, following her son's death and her daughter's second imprisonment following a four year jail term, Ms. Yu could no longer stand the sustained attacks on her family, and she died in December 2004.
