The camp police locked female Dafa practitioners into male criminals' cells and instigated the male prisoners to rape them. They also forced Dafa practitioners to wear insulated clothing in the scorching sun, and forced Dafa practitioners to wear shoes with protruding, hidden nails. Two prisoners dragged each practitioner to make him/her run. Furthermore, the evildoers almost blinded Dafa practitioners with intense light and other despicable means. -
Practitioners Become Blind, Deaf and Mute Following Torture and Beatings in Yueyang Area, Hunan Province
2003-10-06Two policemen from Yuping Town, Pingjiang County, stripped Falun Dafa practitioners down to their underwear when it was snowing. One policeman punched a Dafa practitioner's temples several times and the practitioner became blind instantly as a result. The pair used to rob the practitioners of their money and valuables and then put them in custody where they extorted more money from them. Practitioner Hu Xuanju, over sixty years old, was tortured to the point that he became deaf and mute. -
Atrocities in Zhangshu City Detention Centre: 71 Year Old Woman Tortured to Death and Other Horrifying Reports
2003-10-0571-year-old Ms. Tang Jinmei is a Dafa practitioner from the Shatianli district in Zhangshu City. She went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and clarify the truth. After that she was illegally detained in Zhangshu City Detention Centre for over seven months. The police said during the interrogation, "You will be allowed to go home if you stop practising Falun Gong." This older woman said she would not give up her belief. The callous police then said that they would let her die in the detention centre. -

2003-10-03When she was sent to the hospital, the doctor told her that she must receive immediate medical treatment within one hour the next time she suffers the same symptoms, otherwise she faced the danger of going blind. When the doctor inquired as to how she had received such an injury, Sun Limin, the policeman who accompanied her, stopped her from telling the doctor. By this time, Shan Jinying could no longer eat any food. She required two people's help to hold her up, and she was emaciated. -

2003-10-02Mr. Sun Jianzhong was tortured close to death. His wicked captors decided to let him go and contacted his family to take him home. 2003-09-30Xin Baodong's son was purchasing some items at a shop when a bunch of plainclothes police rushed in and without any explanation and arrested everyone there. They were taken to the Public Security Bureau, interrogated, and their work units were contacted. Finally, the shoppers were released, but Xin Baodong's son was made to stand in the corridor till school was almost over, then he was allowed to go home. When he returned to the school, the teacher asked the child what happened and he described the event. The teacher cried and the child was also sobbing. -
Supplementary Information Regarding Zhang Changming Violently Tortured to Death in Jiamusi Forced Labour Camp
2003-09-29Middle group leader Yang Jiantao who was on duty, and guard Liu Dian dragged Zhang Changming violently to the office. They handcuffed him to the heater and beat him terribly. It was very likely that he was beaten to death, rather than passing away after he was sent home on March 2. After he was beaten, he was sent to the hospital on March 1. The jail police lied to the Falun Gong practitioners detained by saying, "Zhang Changming was bailed out for his sickness." After their show of lies, there was a drastic shuffling around among policemen and guards. -

2003-09-29The police arrested the couple Mr. Zhang Xiushan and Ms. Li Zhengfang, and left two of their parents both over 70 years old with the couple's five-year-old girl at home alone. Their living conditions are extremely difficult. -
Women Dafa Practitioners Tortured to Disability in No. 8 Women's Labour Camp,Guizhou Province
2003-09-28In order to fill the "Transformation Quota" 100%, both the men's centre and the women's centre of the No. 8 Labour Camp in Guizhou province formed "assault groups" which specifically terrorize Falun Dafa practitioners. The members of these groups are for the most part made up of drug users, prostitutes, etc. Under the police's instigation, and in order to decrease their own terms, these hired thugs used extremely indecent and impudent means to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. The private parts of female Falun Dafa practitioners, including Xu Xueying, were lacerated by the hired persecutors and made to bleed and fester. -

2003-09-27The chief, Li Quanming, would walk toward the rooms and tell the inmates: "You can not beat them; instead, you should take care of them." With this kind of pressure and luring rewards, the inmates were carefree when it came to torturing practitioners. -

2003-09-26Ms Zhang Xiaofang, the chief officer of the 7th Team in Nanmusi Forced Labor Camp, used very brutal and vicious means to torture Falun Gong practitioners. She has no sense of humanity and is utterly void of any conscience in her dealings with Dafa practitioners...One night, Zhang Xiaofang ordered a few police to drag Ms. Yang downstairs and tie her to a tree. Then Zhang started beating and swearing at her. The people in two buildings around the site were able to hear Yang's painful crying and Zhang Xiaofang's yelling.
