  • Long’an Court in Guangxi Province Opens Unjust Trial of Practitioner Mr. Lu Chihua

    On June 14th, 2006, the Long’an Court in Guangxi Province opened a trial of Falun Dafa practitioner Lu Chihua. Even after Mr. Lu Chihua had been detained and tortured by the police for several months, he continued to speak about the facts of Falun Dafa to the public in the court. Finally, Mr. Lu said, "I hope all present can remember that Falun Dafa is good and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good. Every Falun Dafa practitioner wishes you a good future." Everyone listened quietly. The presiding judge said, "Thank you!" Later, he seemed to realise something and quickly said, "You dare to publicise those things to us! The court is adjourned!"
  • Practitioner Ms. Li Huixin Besieged at Home by Police in Hebei Province

    On May 21st, 2006, police knocked on the door of Ms. Li Huixin's home, but she did not answer. The police then stayed outside of her apartment and in the yard 24 hours a day. It remains unclear what the police intended to do. As the result of persecution in the Shijiazhuang Forced Labour Camp in 2002, she has been paralysed and bedridden ever since. s. Li’s family has already filed a lawsuit, but the court did not accept the case.
  • Slave Labour Inside Banqiao Women's Forced Labour Camp in Tianjin

    In the No. 2 Team of the sewing factory, practitioners were forced to work long hours and to work overtime in making dark green and orange-yellow mixed pattern raincoats to export to Korea. From May 21st to 27th, practitioners were forced to work from 5 a.m. until 1 a.m.. They had to work seven to eight hours straight and were not allowed even a sip of water; there was even a restriction imposed on toilet breaks. Some of them have hypertension, which is worsened by the slave labour, and some of them were so tired they could not sleep at night.

    Practitioners are forced to wake up at 4:30 every morning and then subjected to a sitting punishment that normally lasts 14 hours. Many practitioners’ behinds become swollen and blistered. Pus and blood make their trousers stick to their behinds, which become extremely itchy and sore. While sitting on the stool, practitioners must keep their backs straight, have both hands on their knees, and stare at a blackboard at the front of the room. They are not allowed to move or speak. Anyone who moves or speaks is severely beaten.
  • Handan Forced Labour Camp Authorities Cover-up Their Crimes and Forbid Families to Visit

    Falun Dafa practitioner Huang Yunzhang was detained for over a year and refused to be "transformed2". At the beginning of this year, the head guard of the second team of the labour camp commanded eight prisoners to beat him brutally. They forced him to lift his arms from behind his back and one person even put pressure on his neck. Huang Yunzhang passed out many times from this horrific torture. In order to wear down his will power, he was forced to weave straw rope with Yan Fusheng and was forced to run about 25-30 kilometres every day, and he had to clean the toilets. He is always exhausted. Since the last year, Mr. Huang’s wife tried to visit him many times, but was always refused.
  • Four Practitioners from Heilongjiang and Xinjiang Provinces who Passed Away After Suffering Persecution

    Ms. Guo Yongzhen was a 73-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner from Heilongjiang Province. On May 1st, 2005, Guo Yongzhen and her younger daughter (also a Dafa practitioner) were arrested at the train station because they had a Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party CD in their bag. Her daughter was sentenced to two years in prison without any legal proceedings. During the past year Guo Yongzhen had been under a lot of pressure. She missed her daughter, and seeing her 8-year-old grandson only made it worse. She always felt responsible for her daughter’s detention. Due to the mental pressure she was under, her health deteriorated and she passed away on May 29th, 2006.
  • Mr. Tan Xueli Tortured to Death after Six Days in Yongchuan Prison

    Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Tan Xueli lived in Sichuan Province. He used to spend all his money on doctors, but was never cured. After practising Falun Dafa, however, his illnesses went away. On the evening of July 24th, 2005, Mr. Tan Xueli was arrested. He was sentenced to prison, and sent to Yongchuan Prison in Chongqing City on June 13th, 2006. He was tortured to death on June 19th, only six days after being admitted to the prison. His body was covered with wounds, the details of which are yet to be investigated.
  • Older Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Lu Huiping Tortured to Death in 2000

    On the afternoon of November 14th, 2000, Ms. Lu Huiping was reported for distributing leaflets exposing the persecution and arrested. Her daughter's wedding was scheduled on November 21st so her family paid 8,000 yuan to bail her out, and promised to send her back after the wedding. During the two whole days she was detained in the County Police Department, Ms. Lu Huiping was tortured severely, causing her mind to be unclear, after which she suffered a mental collapse. She died on November 23rd, 2000, at the age of 51.
  • Mr. Yang Jianpo On Hunger Strike for Almost Five Months; In Critical Condition, But Still Detained

    Mr. Yang Jianpo, a Falun Dafa practitioner is detained in Jidong Jial in Tangshan City. In order to protest the unjust detention, Mr. Yang has been on a hunger strike for almost five months. Currently, his condition is critical, but the head of the Langfang 610 Office has refused to release him, saying they won't let him go until they obtain approval from the government of Hebei Province or the Central Government. They intend to torture Mr. Yang to death. Currently, Mr. Yang is very weak and can hardly speak. His hands and feet are cold and pale, he suffers from chest pain, and is terribly thin.
  • Additional Information on the Death of Practitioner Ms. Xiao Shufen from Heilongjiang Province

    Since July 20th, 1999 when the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started to persecute Falun Gong, Xiao Shufen, 66, had been to Beijing to appeal for Dafa many times. She often spoke to people about the facts of Falun Dafa and therefore was arrested six times. On February 19th, 2005, Ms. Xiao Shufen, who had the symptom of high blood pressure and was detained on the fourth floor for sick people, was forcefully sent to the third floor. Then Zhang Xiaoying ordered the prisoners to cover her with a cotton bed cover and drag her to the third floor. They hurt her lower back on the stairs. On May 28th, 2006, Xiao Shufen's children visited their mother in the prison. They never expected to receive the bad news on June 8th that her mother was dead.
  • Five Practitioners from Guizhou, Chongqing, Heilongjiang and Hebei Provinces Who Died as a Result of Persecution

    Ms. Mu Liangyao, over 60 years old, went to Beijing to the Appeal Office to tell of the benefits of practising Falun Gong. As a result, she was abducted by the police and sent back to her hometown and then sent to a forced labour camp. A guard shocked her mouth with an electric-shock baton. In December 2001, Mu Liangyao's home was ransacked. They seized some leaflets exposing the persecution and used her possession of them as an excuse to send her to a forced labour camp for three years. During the three years she suffered brutal torture. Mu Liangyao firmly believed in Dafa and refused to be "transformed." She had severe damage to her head that led to a tumour. In April 2005, she died in the prison.
  • Persecution at the Hohhot Women's Forced Labour Camp in Inner Mongolia

    The officials at the Hohhot Women's Forced Labour Camp have been persecuting Falun Gong practitioners since September 1999. The guards at the labour camp used deceptive methods and violence, including brainwashing, physical abuse, sleep deprivation, extremely intense physical training, slave labour, force-feeding, and shocking with electric batons. They also hang the practitioners by their handcuffs. Some practitioners suffered a nervous breakdown, and some lived in extreme pain.
  • The Persecution of Practitioners in the Yunnan Second Labour Camp

    After 2004, the authorities at the Yunnan Second Labour Camp implemented unscrupulous persecution against the Falun Dafa practitioners detained there. Many of them were tortured, and those who refused to accept brainwashing had their sentences extended for more than half a year. They also used a heavy workload to persecute the detained practitioners, forcing them to do hard labour more than 15 hours a day, working them beyond human capacity. As a result, many practitioners’ hands and feet were terribly swollen.
  • Heilongjiang Provincial Women's Prison Prohibits Visits of Falun Dafa Practitioners' Family Members

    Starting April 14th, 2006, the Heilongjiang Provincial Women's Prison reorganized the detained Falun Dafa practitioners, and cancelled the "training centre unit" where the steadfast practitioners were imprisoned. They transferred practitioners to other prison areas individually, isolating them so that each prison cell had only one practitioner. Since May 5th, the Heilongjiang Province Judicial Department and the prison administrative bureau issued a notice prohibiting family members from visiting the prison.
  • Exposing the Wrongdoings of Policeman Zhao Kejun from the Gaobeidian City Police Department

    During each brainwashing session, many practitioners were bound to bench legs and were lashed with batons or rubber batons, until they were covered with bruises. One woman practitioner was continuously shocked with an electric baton for three days in the city detention centre in 2000. She was also tortured with a method called "Dog Noose" for three days. While suffering from this torture, a practitioner's hands and feet were crossed and then immobilised so that the practitioner couldn't stretch his/her back. This torture is extremely vicious.
