  • France: Introducing Falun Gong in Besancon City

    From June the 17th to the 19th, Falun Gong practitioners from Germany, Switzerland, and Grenoble in southern France, along with Falun Gong practitioners in Besancon, held three-day long activities to promote Falun Gong and raise awareness about the human rights abuses in Besancon city centre.
  • Sweden: The Voice of Medborgarplatsen in the Capital of Sweden: The CCP is Doomed to Collapse

    On June 11th, more than five hundred people, consisting of both Chinese and Caucasians from all over Europe, gathered at Medborgarplatsen in Stockholm so as to participate in a large-scale rally support the significant trend of quitting the CCP. Over fifty human right organisations and other non-governmental organisations expressed their support for the activity.
  • Czech Republic: Media Interviews Persecuted Falun Gong Practitioner

    On the 18th of June, Falun Gong practitioners from the Czech Republic and Slovakia gathered on the Staromestkse Square in Prague. On this occassion we were pleased to welcome Ms. Xiong Wei from Germany, who came to support our activities and tell the Czech media and people her story of how she had been persecuted in China for simply informing the people with the facts about Falun Gong and how it is being persecuted severely by the Chinese Communist Party.
  • Latvia: Falun Gong Wins an Award at the "Healthy Mind - Healthy Body" Sport Festival

    On June the 17th, 2005, Latvian Falun Gong practitioners attended the "Healthy Mind - Healthy Body" Sport Festival in Vingrotajiem and was awarded the “positive participation” prize. The practitioners introduced Falun Gong to those who joined the festival and demonstrated the exercises. They also displayed photos depicting the practise of Falun Gong across the world and provided accounts and experiences of cultivating in Falun Gong by practitioners for people to read.
  • Russia: Exposing the Persecution on Arbat Square in Moscow

    Russian practitioners held an activity on Arbat Square in Moscow city centre to call for an end to the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China. Many people approached practitioners to find out more about the human rights abuses happening to Falun Gong in China and signed the petition calling for an end to the persecution.
  • First Swedish Performance of “The European Coming For You Choir”

    On the 11th of June 2005, the “European Coming For You” Choir made its first-ever performance in Sweden, performing at the concert “Coming for You ­ Where East Meets West” at Berwaldshallen in Stockholm. The concert was sponsored by New Tang Dynasty TV and Kulturföreningen Främja Traditionell Kultur & Konst (The Culture Association to Promote Traditional Culture & Art).
  • Germany: Promoting Falun Gong in Frankfurt

    On the 4th of June 2005, in the busiest street in Frankfurt town centre, Falun Gong practitioners held an anti-torture exhibition to expose the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) brutal persecution of Falun Gong and an activity with the theme of promoting the beauty of Falun Gong and “Truthfulness Compassion Tolerance”.
  • Romania: Promoting Falun Gong and Exposing the Persecution in Brasov City

    Practitioners distributed Falun Gong leaflets to tourists and revealed the Chinese Communist Party’s brutal persecution against those who practise Falun Gong. Passers-by stopped to view a picture exhibition exposing the CCP’s crimes in their 6-year suppression of Falun Gong before signing a petition calling for an end to the persecution.
  • Prestigious Chinese Writer and Historian Declares his Heartfelt Support for Falun Gong at a London Rally

    In the face of the various kinds of brutal suppression that the CCP has been executing in the past forty years, there are so many Falun Gong practitioners who are willing to disregard their own lives to struggle and safeguard their beliefs. Don’t you think that these Falun Gong practitioners deserve admiration and support from an intellectual like me? I think the answer is yes.
  • Ireland: Cork City Councillors Protest Against Proclaiming Shanghai a "Sister City"

    On May 19th 2005, several members of the Cork City Council in Ireland took a stance against proclaiming Shanghai a sister city. Chris O'Leary, a Green Party member, thought that this might send the wrong message to China. To date, twelve Falun Gong practitioners have been persecuted to death in Shanghai. The Irish Times reported that four of the city councillors from Cork protested outside City Hall against the Mayor's forming an alliance with Shanghai and ignoring China's poor human rights record. Local Falun Gong practitioners also participated in the protest.
  • Russia: St. Petersburg Practitioners Raise Awareness at Lomonosov Tube Station

    Five huge posters displayed information, letting people know about Falun Gong's spread to over 60 countries. They stopped to look closely at the posters and ask questions. After seeing the brutal scenes of persecution, people’s compassionate sides were clear that it must be stopped. Many of them asked, “Why are such things happening in the world today?”
  • Finland: “Communism and Human Rights in China” Seminar Focuses on the Persecution Against Falun Gong

    China experts from different countries expressed their views on both the current state and the future of the ruling Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Their message to the Finnish Government and public was that the human rights situation in China is getting worse. They especially mentioned the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, which represents the most serious human rights crime in Chinese history. The major media outlets, like the Finnish News Agency and a newspaper called Helsingin Sanomat attended the seminar and a related press conference.
  • France: Appealing in Paris for Public Awareness of Persecution against Falun Gong

    Practitioners in France decided to promote Falun Gong on various streets in Paris. Though there were not many practitioners to take part, our banners were so eye-catching that many passers-by stopped to read the captions that went with photos about the persecution. Some were shocked and took the initiative to sign the petition.
  • Ukraine: Exposing the Persecution during a Mythology Drama Presentation

    On May the 28th and 29th, Ukrainian practitioners took part in a mythology drama held by Dnepropetrovsk City Council in a local park. During the gathering, people viewed a display of pictures exposing the human rights abuses against Falun Gong practitioners in China. Many people were attracted by the paper lotus flowers made by practitioners.
  • Sweden: Falun Gong Practitioners Participate in an Alternative Health Fair in Uddevalla

    On the 28th and 29th of May, Falun Gong practitioners took part in an alternative health fair in Uddevalla. They performed the five sets of Falun Gong exercises and informed the participants about Falun Gong and the ongoing persecution occurring in China. They also set up an exhibition of posters and photos, accompanied by an information table.
