Ukraine: Anti-torture Activities on UN International Day in Support of Victims of Torture
2005-07-08On the 26th of June 2005, UN International Day in Support of Victims of Torture, Falun Gong practitioners from Staro Konstantinoy state, Northern Donetsk state and Kramatorsk city went to the famous Novy Svet Mountain to hold activities exposing the horrific forms of torture used by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) on Falun Gong practitioners in China. -
France: Promoting Falun Gong and Raising Awareness about the Persecution in Northern Paris
2005-07-05On the 25th of June 2005, French practitioners held an activity to promote Falun Gong on Place Gabriel Peri near the Gare Saint-Lazare rail station. This was the seventh step of a tour of Paris, intended to let more people know about Falun Gong and raise their awareness of the human rights abuses against practitioners in China. -
Sweden: Seminar "Communism and Human Rights" Held in Stockholm
2005-07-03Another “Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and Human Rights” Seminar drew to a successful closure. The seminar generated a positive reaction from Swedish communities and media alike. Latecomers waited patiently outside the jam-packed hall for vacancies in the second half. Participants were stunned to learn that Mainland Chinese are withdrawing from the CCP on a large scale. -
France: Introducing Falun Gong in Besancon City
2005-06-30From June the 17th to the 19th, Falun Gong practitioners from Germany, Switzerland, and Grenoble in southern France, along with Falun Gong practitioners in Besancon, held three-day long activities to promote Falun Gong and raise awareness about the human rights abuses in Besancon city centre. -
Sweden: The Voice of Medborgarplatsen in the Capital of Sweden: The CCP is Doomed to Collapse
2005-06-26On June 11th, more than five hundred people, consisting of both Chinese and Caucasians from all over Europe, gathered at Medborgarplatsen in Stockholm so as to participate in a large-scale rally support the significant trend of quitting the CCP. Over fifty human right organisations and other non-governmental organisations expressed their support for the activity. -
Czech Republic: Media Interviews Persecuted Falun Gong Practitioner
2005-06-26On the 18th of June, Falun Gong practitioners from the Czech Republic and Slovakia gathered on the Staromestkse Square in Prague. On this occassion we were pleased to welcome Ms. Xiong Wei from Germany, who came to support our activities and tell the Czech media and people her story of how she had been persecuted in China for simply informing the people with the facts about Falun Gong and how it is being persecuted severely by the Chinese Communist Party. -
Latvia: Falun Gong Wins an Award at the "Healthy Mind - Healthy Body" Sport Festival
2005-06-26On June the 17th, 2005, Latvian Falun Gong practitioners attended the "Healthy Mind - Healthy Body" Sport Festival in Vingrotajiem and was awarded the “positive participation” prize. The practitioners introduced Falun Gong to those who joined the festival and demonstrated the exercises. They also displayed photos depicting the practise of Falun Gong across the world and provided accounts and experiences of cultivating in Falun Gong by practitioners for people to read. -
Russia: Exposing the Persecution on Arbat Square in Moscow
2005-06-25Russian practitioners held an activity on Arbat Square in Moscow city centre to call for an end to the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China. Many people approached practitioners to find out more about the human rights abuses happening to Falun Gong in China and signed the petition calling for an end to the persecution. -
First Swedish Performance of “The European Coming For You Choir”
2005-06-23On the 11th of June 2005, the “European Coming For You” Choir made its first-ever performance in Sweden, performing at the concert “Coming for You Where East Meets West” at Berwaldshallen in Stockholm. The concert was sponsored by New Tang Dynasty TV and Kulturföreningen Främja Traditionell Kultur & Konst (The Culture Association to Promote Traditional Culture & Art). -
Germany: Promoting Falun Gong in Frankfurt
2005-06-23On the 4th of June 2005, in the busiest street in Frankfurt town centre, Falun Gong practitioners held an anti-torture exhibition to expose the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) brutal persecution of Falun Gong and an activity with the theme of promoting the beauty of Falun Gong and “Truthfulness Compassion Tolerance”. -
Romania: Promoting Falun Gong and Exposing the Persecution in Brasov City
2005-06-22Practitioners distributed Falun Gong leaflets to tourists and revealed the Chinese Communist Party’s brutal persecution against those who practise Falun Gong. Passers-by stopped to view a picture exhibition exposing the CCP’s crimes in their 6-year suppression of Falun Gong before signing a petition calling for an end to the persecution. -
Prestigious Chinese Writer and Historian Declares his Heartfelt Support for Falun Gong at a London Rally

Ireland: Cork City Councillors Protest Against Proclaiming Shanghai a "Sister City"
2005-06-19On May 19th 2005, several members of the Cork City Council in Ireland took a stance against proclaiming Shanghai a sister city. Chris O'Leary, a Green Party member, thought that this might send the wrong message to China. To date, twelve Falun Gong practitioners have been persecuted to death in Shanghai. The Irish Times reported that four of the city councillors from Cork protested outside City Hall against the Mayor's forming an alliance with Shanghai and ignoring China's poor human rights record. Local Falun Gong practitioners also participated in the protest. -
Russia: St. Petersburg Practitioners Raise Awareness at Lomonosov Tube Station
2005-06-19Five huge posters displayed information, letting people know about Falun Gong's spread to over 60 countries. They stopped to look closely at the posters and ask questions. After seeing the brutal scenes of persecution, people’s compassionate sides were clear that it must be stopped. Many of them asked, “Why are such things happening in the world today?” -
Finland: “Communism and Human Rights in China” Seminar Focuses on the Persecution Against Falun Gong
2005-06-18China experts from different countries expressed their views on both the current state and the future of the ruling Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Their message to the Finnish Government and public was that the human rights situation in China is getting worse. They especially mentioned the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, which represents the most serious human rights crime in Chinese history. The major media outlets, like the Finnish News Agency and a newspaper called Helsingin Sanomat attended the seminar and a related press conference.
