An international conference on human rights and freedom of belief was held in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, from August the 5th to the 7th. Councillors and representatives of some non-governmental organisations from North America, Asia, Europe, and Africa participated in the Conference. -
Switzerland: Dafa Practitioners Hold an Anti-Torture Exhibition in Switzerland’s Biggest City Zurich

The Swiss practitioners told Swiss people about the five years of persecution that have been waged against the 100 million people who practise Falun Gong in China. They asked people to join them in calling for an end to these violations of human rights. Swiss politicians and NGO representatives made speeches to express their support for Falun Gong practitioners’ peaceful resistance to this persecution. -
Hungary: Photo Report - Promoting Falun Gong and Exposing the Persecution

From the 3rd to the 8th of August, practicioners from Hungary, Poland and Romania got together to let people in Hungary know more about the Falun Dafa and the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners in China. They demonstrated the exercises, handed out leaflets and discussed the facts with passersby. -
Czech Republic: Thirty-Six Hour Vigil at the Chinese Embassy in Prague Marks Five Years of Persecution Against Falun Gong in China

July the 20th 2004 marked exactly five years since the Chinese regime, then under the leadership of Jiang Zemin, began a systematic persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. Practitioners from the Czech Republic marked this date with a peaceful thirty-six hour vigil of meditation and exercises in front of the Chinese Embassy in Prague. -

Russia: Dafa practitioners hold an Anti-Torture Exhibition during Bo Xilai’s Visit to Moscow

On the 4th of August 2004, practitioners gathered at Moscow’s marketplace, where Chinese people are the primary ethnic group, and appealed outside the Chinese Embassy against Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin’s brutal persecution of Falun Gong. There were also protests against Jiang’s accomplice Bo Xilai's visit to Moscow. -
Slovakia: Introducing Falun Gong and Exposing the Persecution to People in Eastern Slovakia

Practitioners of Falun Gong visited several cities in Eastern Slovakia in the first week of August: Spisska Nova Ves, Presov, Kosice, Humenne and Bardejov. In each of these cities they organised a small activity, where they tried to show the beauty of Falun Gong exercises in contrast to the five years of brutal persecution against Falun Gong in China. -
Hungary: Peaceful Appeal at the Chinese Embassy in Budapest

Practitioners from Sweden, Australia and Taiwan went to Budapest, the capital of Hungary, on the 21st and 22nd of June. A peaceful appeal was held outside the Chinese Embassy in Budapest. Leaflets were given out to passers-by. The Hungarian people were very supportive and one man said loudly to us, “My heart is with you!” -
Greece: People Welcome Falun Dafa on the Eve of the Olympic Games

Every morning practitioners have gathered in the Elefterias Square (Freedom Square) for morning group practice. The square is located in the Chinese sector of Athens. As well as many local Greek people, many Chinese have come to watch the tranquil and gentle exercises of Falun Gong and have got to know more about the peaceful nature of the practice. -
Norway: Persecution of Falun Gong in China lasts Five Years

Norwegian Falun Gong practitioners, with support from Swedish and Danish practitioners, held activities in Oslo to mark the fifth year in the persecution of Falun Gong. Similar exhibitions have been held in many places over the world in the last few last weeks, as well as in the other Nordic countries. The exhibition attracted a lot of attention from passersby. -
Sweden: Mourning Practitioners Who Have Been Persecuted to Death in China

On July 23rd 2004, Falun Gong practitioners assembled outside Gothenburg Chinese Embassy and held a vigil to mourn for the more than one thousand Falun Gong practitioners who have been persecuted to death. They also asked for the Embassy’s staff to not betray their conscience and not participate in this persecution of innocent people. -

On July the 25th 2004, Hungarian, Australian, German and Ukrainian Falun Gong practitioners gathered on Margarethen Island in Budapest, to give a presentation on the persecution of Falun Gong in China. Despite the heat, many people stood in front of our booth to view the small photo exhibition and admire the slow flowing excercise movements. -
Ireland: Practitioners Introduce Falun Gong in County Kildare

A series of posters depicting the torture imposed on Falun Gong practitioners in China became a focus for many passersby. They asked many questions and were visibly shocked by the horrifying scenes and found it hard to understand why such awful events are taking place in China today. After seeing the beauty of the Falun Gong exercises, many of the onlookers were moved and asked why such a peaceful thing could ever be prohibited anywhere in the world. -
Greece: Lawsuit Brought Against Jiang Zemin for Genocide in Greece One Week Before the Olympics

On August the 5th 2004, one week before the Athens Olympics, two Greek lawyers on behalf three practitioners from Australia, Ireland and Greece submitted a criminal lawsuit against former Chinese president Jiang Zemin, former vice-premier Li Lanqing, and member of Standing Committee of Political Bureau of Communist Party Luo Gan for genocide and torture. -
United Kingdom: Torture Methods used on Falun Gong Practitioners Displayed in an Exhibition in Edinburgh

On the evening of the 7th of August 2004, Falun Gong practitioners staged an anti-torture exhibition, showed the exercises of Falun Gong and collected signatures via the use of petitions to bring Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin to justice. The yearly Edinburgh Tattoo event was a great chance to show many tourists and also the people of Edinburgh the truth about Falun Gong.
