• Mr. Zhang Xingcai Tortured to Death in Wumaping Prison, Sichuan Province

  On September 8th, 2006, 59-year-old Mr. Zhang Xingcai was arrested by officials and sentenced to seven and a half years of imprisonment. He suffered torture causing his health to drastically deteriorate. On March 30th, 2007, the prison authorities called his family and said that Mr. Zhang was diagnosed with blood poisoning and some other diseases and was in hospital. At 7 p.m. on March 31st, the hospital notified his family that Zhang Xingcai had died.

• Ms. Ma Bing, 38, Passes Away After Long-Term Persecution

  In September 2003, Ms. Ma Bing was arrested because she practised Falun Dafa and sent to the Hongweixing Brainwashing Class in Daqing City. Ms. Ma Bing refused to cooperate, and she was subjected to severe mental abuse and physical torture. She also suffered a head injury. Later after another arrest her health declined. She was under constant, extreme fear and tension. She passed away on February 2nd, 2007.

• Practitioner Zhang Guiqin Tortured to Death -- Authorities Attempt to Recruit Her Sister-in-Law as Spy

  On December 4th, 2006, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Guiqin from Qiqihar City, Heilongjing Province was tortured to death. she had been detained in in Qiqihar City First Detention Centre, where she was brutally beaten. She was later taken to the Hepingchang City Hospital in a deep coma. A female guard said, "She would be fine even if she vomits half a pan of blood." Soon after her death, agents from the City 610 Office, State Security Division, Police Department, and Dongshichang Police Station threatened her sister-in-law, who had just been released from a labour camp, to become a spy.

• Official Admits Witnessing Approximately Six Persecution Deaths of Falun Gong Practitioners at the Zibo Forced Labour Camp in Shandong Province

  According to information provided by a team leader at Zibo Forced Labour Camp, the labour camp had put clothes on five or six deceased Falun Gong practitioners who died from being persecuted. The following contains information about the practitioners who were persecuted at the labour camp. The labour camp does not allow seriously ill people to seek treatment at outside hospitals. In March 2006, one person was sick for a long time and was not allowed to go to the hospital. He ended being carried by several people to the clinic for some medication, and he died few days later.

• Further Details about the Death of Mr. Bai Xiaojun, a College Professor, Who Died in Chaoyanggou Forced Labour Camp in Jilin Province in 2003

  Mr. Bai Xiaojun, a professor at Northeast Normal University, began practising Falun Dafa in 1993. In July 2000, he was arrested and unlawfully sentenced to one year of forced labour because he went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Dafa. He was transferred to a brainwashing centre after he had served one and a half years--six months beyond his sentence--in the labour camp. In April 2002, Mr. Bai was again sentenced, this time to three years of forced labour due to his refusal to give up cultivation practice. He died in July 2003, at the age of 36, in Chaoyanggou Forced Labour Camp.

• Older Ms. Xue Guiqing Has Died As a Result of Torture in Tianjin Female Prison

  Since July 20th 1999, Ms. Xue Guiqing, 54, had been detained at police stations, detention centres, forced labour camps and prisons. Her husband had been under pressure from the police for years and could no longer bear it. One night he tried to strangle Ms. Xue when she was asleep, but did not succeed. Her husband tied her up and beat her legs hard until they were all bloody and smashed. In February 2006 she was taken back to Tianjin Female Prison. On March 14th, 2007, the prison informed Ms. Xue's family to take her home. By this time she was nearly dead and weighed less than 30kg. Two days later Ms. Xue passed away.

• Additional Information about How Zhao Wenpeng Was Savagely Persecuted to Death by the Guiyang Public Security Hospital

  On August 10th, Mr. Zhao Wenpeng was arrested for exposing the persecution of Falun Gong and taken to the Guiyang Yunyan District Detention Centre. Zhao Wenpeng was subjected to various forms of physical torture by the guards in the detention centre. By December 3rd, after three months and twenty-four days of being detained and tortured at the detention centre, Zhao Wenpeng's whole body was swollen. On the outside of his left thigh there was a large festering hole that continuously dripped pus. At this time he was transferred to the Guiyang Public Security Hospital to be further persecuted. Zhao Wenpeng died on March 7th, 2007. He was 41 years old.

  On November 3rd, 2004, police arrested Falun Gong practitioner Wu Yuqin. On November 7th, Ms. Wu's husband Sun Youlin (a non-practitioner) went to the police office to look for his wife. Several policemen beat Sun Youlin violently. They dented the back of his head and shocked his whole body with electric batons. Mr. Sun died as a result.

• Three Practitioners from Shanxi, Jilin and Hebei Provinces Passed Away During the Persecution

  Ms. Xu Wanhua, 52, went to the Beijing Appeals Bureau in 2000 to petition for Dafa. Beijing Qianmen Police Station agents arrested her and later sent her to the Sanhe Detention Centre. Because she insisted on practising exercises and reciting verses from Dafa books in the detention centre, the police beat her with leather belts and rubber sticks, and shocked her with electric batons. Xu Wanhua started a protest hunger strike and suffered from brutal force-feeding. She endured severe physical and mental pressure from the persecution, and passed away in August 2006.

  Because Ms. Chen Shufen and her husband, Huo Shimin, were both sentenced because of practising Falun Dafa, their family condition became very poor. At that moment Huo Shimin's father was sick in bed, and he also had a mother who was more than ninety years old. Huo's father missed his son and daughter-in-law very much, and felt very sad. He passed away in spring 2004, before Huo came home. His grandmother and mother are still healthy. Ms. Chen's son and daughter both reached a marriageable age. Only because their mother practises “Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance,” and persists in her belief is she being detained. Both the son and daughter's marriages were interfered with. All family members, relatives and friends are worried about them.

• 64-Year-Old Mr. Yang Pingsheng from Jiangxi Province Tortured to Death in Prison - His Family Only Allowed to See His Ashes

  Mr. Yang Pingsheng, 64, was arrested by police from the Wuning County Police Department in April 2005 while distributing leaflets exposing the persecution. He was sentenced to four years in prison and detained in Nanchang City Prison. He was tortured to death at the prison in March 2007. His family was instructed to pick up his ashes, and was not allowed to see his body.

  Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhao Dianbin was 78 years old. He went to Beijing three times to appeal for justice for Dafa and was brutally tortured and detained twice. His three sons, three daughters-in-law, and three daughters were all arrested and ruthlessly tortured. Mr. Zhao died on March 20th, 2007, due to the long-term harassment and persecution by personnel from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

• Ms. Gao Xiuqin Dies after Being Tortured in Jinan City First Women's Prison in Shandong Province

  Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Gao Xiuqin had been detained in the Fourth Ward of Jinan City First Women's Prison since October 2002. Her mother-in-law was very worried, and died on December 5th, 2002, shortly after hearing that Ms. Gao had been arrested. Half of Ms. Gao's body was in extreme pain during a period in 2005, and she could not move. When she was released in February 2006, she was very weak, and it was discovered that she had late-stage breast cancer. She was hospitalised on March 6th, had an operation on March 7th, and died on April 1st, 2007.

• Purchasing Agent from Qiqihar Chinese Medicine Hospital (Heilongjiang Province) Killed at Tailai Prison

  On February 8th, 2007, Mr Liu Jingming was detained at Tailai Prison. It took guards at Tailai Prison only 46 days to torture 39 year-old Mr. Liu to death. At 7 p.m. on March 24th, 2007, guard Ji Hengtai of the Training Unit at Tailai Prison phoned Liu Jingming's home. He claimed that Mr. Liu died after "jumping out of the window of the building" at 1:40 a.m. on March 24. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has used this excuse for almost eight years when murdering practitioners. When the family members, with eyes filled with tears saw Mr. Liu Jingming's body, they were shocked. The body was horribly mangled. The right side of the head was caved in. The face and entire body was horribly damaged.

  Over the last several years, Dafa practitioner Mr. Yang Zhiwen was constantly arrested, beaten, detained and sentenced to labour camps by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He was once forced to leave home and became destitute and homeless in order to avoid persecution and arrest. The long-term brutal persecution wrecked Mr. Yang's health, and he passed away on October 20th, 2006. He was fifty-four years old.
