Mr. Lu Tongli, a Level-one Judge, and His Wife Died Due to Persecution in Heilongjiang Province

Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Lu Tongli, a level-one executive judge and his wife persisted in Dafa practice. The Chinese Communist regime had persecuted them for a long time. In January 2001, the head of the Fangzheng Forest Bureau attempted to coerce Mr. Lu to attack Falun Gong and its founder on Fanglin Public Television. Mr. Lu refused, and the Communist Party removed him from his position as head of the executive court. Lu Tongli died in September 2006 and his wife in November 2006. Mr. Ma Xiao from Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province Died As a Result of Persecution
2007-03-23Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Ma Xiao, 59 years old, was a peasant. After the Chinese Communist Party started persecuting Falun Gong on July 20th, 1999, police arrested him several times. Mr. Ma was arrested again on June 30th, 2005. They arrested him and sentenced him to three years of forced labour in Dayingzi Labour Camp, where he was tortured until he vomited blood and was in critical condition. The labour camp authorities were afraid of being held responsible, so they sent him home in February 2006. Ma Xiao never recovered and died on February 18th, 2007. -
A Winter Story -- Recalling the Brutality at Longshan Forced Labour Camp in Shenyang, Liaoning Province
2007-03-23In December 2003, my wife was arrested and taken to Shenyang City's Longshan Forced Labour Camp for believing in Falun Gong. In freezing wind, with the crunching sound of snow, I went to visit her in the labour camp. The wind was blowing and the labour camp was in dead silence. I was allowed to see my wife because it was near New Year's day. I sat across from her in the dining hall with over a dozen police surrounding us. She was very bony with a face swollen due to the torture. I asked about the tortures and my heart broke. Where is the wrong in believing in Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance? Where is the wrong in being a good person? At that time I saw practitioner Gao Rongrong from a distance. She was later was tortured to death. She was also very bony. -
Mr. Zhao Wenpeng Died from Persecution at Guiyang City, Guizhou Province Police Hospital; Elderly Practitioner Ms. Yin Deqin Still Under Persecution
2007-03-22Mr. Zhao Wenpeng was arrested by police in August 2006. They threatened Zhao, telling him to not practise Falun Gong anymore. In the detention centre, Zhao Wenpeng suffered all kinds of brutal torture. In just a few months, he developed oedema all over his body. Torture also left a big wound on the side of Mr. Zhao's left thigh, which continually oozed pus. Zhao Wenpeng was transferred to the Guiyang City Police Hospital for what was called "treatment" by the authorities. The so-called "treatments" of injections and drugs only made Zhao Wenpeng's health deteriorate more rapidly. Even under such severe conditions, the officials still sentenced Zhao Wenpeng to forced labour camp for two or three years without a trial. On March 7th, 2007, Mr. Zhao Wenpeng died in the police hospital as a result of the brutal persecution he suffered. -
Practitioner Ms. Ou Xiangyuan of Baoqing County, Heilongjiang Province Died from Torture in 2003

After the the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began to persecute Falun Dafa on July 20th, 1999, Ms. Ou Xiangyuan, 53, wanted to appeal for Dafa. Police officers arrested her on her way to Beijing in December 2000, and then detained her at Shanhaiguan Detention Centre. The guards shackled Ms. Ou's hands behind her back, then hung her from the ceiling by her hands until her limbs were numb and she lost consciousness. Ms. Ou lost consciousness many times from the torture she suffered. Then the police imprisoned her at home. Ms. Ou died in hospital on April 23rd, 2003. -
Ms. Zhao Xiuqin from Beijing and Ms. Zou Yongping from Liaoning Province Died as a Result of Persecution
2007-03-17Ms. Zhao Xiuqin, a practitioner in her fifties, lived in Beijing. She had suffered from the persecution of Falun Gong since July 20th, 1999, when the persecution started, and had become homeless. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) police arrested her when she was distributing leaflets exposing the persecution, and she was taken to a forced labour camp. Although she was subjected to brainwashing many times, she never stepped aside from her cultivation path. She died in January 2007 at a forced labour camp, due to persecution. -
Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Cao Aihua From Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region Murdered Nearly Four Months Ago - Her Family Determined in Seeking Justice
2007-03-15After Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Cao Aihua died at the Women's Labour Camp of Xinjiang Army Corps in November 2006, her family members went through a sad and painful Chinese New Year. Her husband never thought his wife would be killed by police in only 10 days. Ms. Cao's son has been guarding his mother's remains at the funeral home near Wujiaqu City for more than three months. Ms. Cao's family members are requesting that the murderers be punished, but the related units divert responsibility to others or reject their requests. In grief and indignation, Ms. Cao's family have indicated that they will not give up their determination to punish the murderers, even if they have to go to the ends of the earth - they feel a responsibility to demand justice for Ms. Cao's death. -
Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Wang Hongnan Died at Nanguanling Prison in Dalian City, Liaoning Province as a Result of Persecution
2007-03-15Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Hongnan died at the Nanguanling Prison on January 25th, 2007 at the age of 37. Mr. Wang Hongnan's sister received a phone call from the prison authorities on January 25th. She immediately went to the prison and was told on arrival that Wang Hongnan had already died. The officials told her to consent to cremation right away before she ever saw the body. She refused. She asked about her brother's cause of death. They said it was liver disease. They had never told the family prior to his death that Wang Hongnan was ill. After further investigation, a discrepancy was revealed between the time the prison officials claimed they took Wang Hongnan to the hospital and what the hospital's records as his admission time. The exact cause of death requires further investigation. -
Mr. Zhou Zuofu from Jiangxi Province Died as a Result of the Persecution
2007-03-15Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhou Zuofu, 57, began practising Falun Dafa in February 1997. After the persecution began on July 20th, 1999, he was persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party, and was arrested eight times by the police and the Ruichang City 610 Office. He was detained, subjected to brainwashing, and sentenced to forced labour. Zhou was severely tortured in the Majialong Labour Camp. His weight dropped from 150 pounds to 90 pounds and he became extremely weak and he suffered a short-term nervous breakdown. On April 7th, 2003, Mr. Zhou was finally released home, but he could not recover from the injuries sustained over the years, and his condition got worse. He died on March 6th, 2007. -
Seven More Torture-Related Deaths Recently Verified in February 2007
2007-03-14Mr. Chang Yongfu was 44 years old. On July 26th, 2004, police broke into his home, arrested him and took him to the Harbin Changlinzi Forced Labour Camp. There Mr. Chang suffered cruel and inhuman beatings at the hands of guards and inmates many times. Even though he was mentally sound, he was then sent to a mental hospital and was injected with medication used only for people who suffered from psychosis. His entire body was in pain. He also lost his eyesight. Mr. Chang died at 5 a.m. on January 18th, 2007. His ears and eyes were bleeding, and his nose and mouth were filled with blood. -
Persecution Suffered by Practitioners Mr. Su Huili and Ms. Sun Yuling Before They Died
2007-03-14In 2000, 610 Office officials arrested Mr. Su and detained him in the town government building. During his detention, police led a group of thugs to beat him with brooms and sticks while the lights were off. He was beaten all over and his nose and mouth bled. While beating him, they exclaimed: "You said that practising Falun Gong cured your hepatic cirrhosis. Today, we will beat you on your liver." They kicked him hard in his liver area with their leather boots. They beat him like that for several days, and his liver cirrhosis recurred. He became weaker and weaker. Mr. Su Huili died on May 2nd, 2001. He was only 36 years old when he died. -
Additional Information about the Persecution of Xu Hongmei, Who Recently Died in Custody

Police officers arrested Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Xu Hongmei on January 13th, 2007. They brutally beat her, handcuffed her hands behind her back and hung her up by the handcuffs four times. They also handcuffed her hands in front and hung her up by the handcuffs once. They beat her so severely that she suffered internal injuries. In protest of the unjust detention Ms. Xu was on a hunger strike for 31 days. Even though she was bed-ridden they still kept her shackled. Xu Hongmei died on February 27th at age 37. -
More Information on Mr. Zhao Shuiqing, Who Was Tortured to Death at Wangling Prison in Hunan Province
2007-03-12Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhao Shuiqing was sentenced to seven years in prison. At the end of 2003 (or the beginning of 2004) he was sent to Jinshi Prison and was tortured there for one month and then he was transferred to the Wangling Prison in Zhuzhou City. Two months later, Zhao Shuiqing was tortured to death at the age of thirty-two (this has been previously reported). -
Mr. Zhang Hongquan, a Practitioner from Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province, Persecuted to Death
2007-03-12Mr. Zhang Hongquan was arrested in November 2001 for speaking out for justice for Dafa, and was taken to the Dumeng County Detention Centre, where he was beaten by the police several times and began a hunger strike that lasted for more than ninety days to protest the persecution. The guard force-fed him chicken feed through a dirty tube and he lost control of his bodily functions. In 2002 Mr. Zhang Hongquan was sentenced to three and a half years of imprisonment. Owing to the continuous persecution he suffered over the years, a hole formed in his lung, but he was only released after his family made several requests. Nevertheless, Mr. Zhang Hongquan finally passed away on February 24th, 2007. -
All Six Family Members Imprisoned, Ms. Liu Guifang Died
2007-03-09The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) extorted a large amount of cash fines from Ms. Liu Guifang family. Five members were sentenced to prison or forced labour terms. Her eldest daughter, Ms. Liu Furong, was unlawfully sentenced to five years in prison. Ms. Liu Guifang herself was sentenced to one and a half years of forced labour and sent to Xinhua Forced Labour Camp in Mianyang City. After the labour camp refused to admit her, she was detained in the Jian'ge County Detention Centre and further mistreated. Because of the long term persecution, Ms. Liu became very frail. She died on June 10th, 2006.
