A Report of the Deaths of 18 Persecuted Practitioners in Seven Different Provinces

Ms. Yuan Zexiu, around 60 years old, lived in a village in Shandong Province. After 1999, she was arrested and subjected to brainwashing many times. Around May 1, 2004, when she and another practitioner handed out leaflets exposing the persecution , they were both arrested. A few months later they were sent to the Wangcun Forced Labour Camp. The labour camp didn't accept Ms. Yuan because of her poor state of health due to persecution. She returned home to Laizhou City on parole. On January 25, 2005, Ms. Yuan passed away. -
Mr. Yang Jinyu from Hebei Province Dies After His Wife is Tortured to Death
2005-06-01Mr. Yang Jinyu passed away on February 17, 2005, two years after his wife was tortured to death. His 56-year-old wife, Mrs. Xiong Fengxia, was tortured to death in a brainwashing centre on October 13, 2002. When she died, her body was covered with bruises and wounds. There were forty-three wounds on the front of her body, and her wrists had deep gouges left by the chains she was hung up with. The suffering was too much for Yang Jinyu, he became despondent and died from heart disease. -
Seven Practitioners in China Died from the Persecution
2005-06-01Practitioner Dr Yang Ronghua, 61 years old, was an associate director of the Henan Agriculture University Hospital. She had been honoured several times by the hospital as an outstanding doctor with excellent medical skills. She was also recognised as a good person. After she started practising Falun Dafa her liver disease was healed without the help of medication. However, after she appealed for justice for Falun Gong the authorities put pressure on her husband to monitor and restrict her freedom. Under house arrest this caused the recurrence of her liver disease. She died in May 2001. -
Teenage Girl Kept In Prison While her Father is Tortured to Death
2005-05-31Mr. Zhang Tao was detained at the Changlinzi Forced Labour Camp. He was tortured to death on July 30, 2002. Zhang Tao's daughter, Zhang Jianhui, has been detained for three years. In Mid-April, 2002, Zhang Jianhui, who was 19 years old at the time, was arrested amidst a large scale arrest of Falun Dafa practitioners and sentenced to ten years in prison. She is still detained at the Heilongjiang Women's Prison in Harbin City today. -
Ms. Yang Yuhua Dies from Force-feeding in the Daqing Detention Centre

Ms. Yang Yuhua, a 50-year-old teacher was cruelly force-fed and died as a result on the afternoon of May 12, 2005. Seeing Ms. Yang's body covered with black and blue marks, her hair matted and sticky, and her eyes wide open, her family was heart-stricken. -
The Persecution and Death of Ms. Sun Qian, a Falun Dafa Practitioner from Dalian
2005-05-30"I was shocked to learn that Sun Qian, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Dalian City, Liaoning Province died from persecution on March 15, 2005. She was on a hunger strike for a long time in protest of the unjust sentence of six years imposed on her and the torture inflicted on her, so her persecutors forcefully inserted a feeding tube into her stomach. This resulted in stomach bleeding and she was infected with tuberculosis. On the brink of death, the prison had no choice but to release her to the care of her family. She soon died at home." -
Mr. Yang Caiyin from Hubei Province Passed Away Due to the Persecution
2005-05-30Over the past several years, 48 year old Mr. Yang endured unimaginable pain. The heavy attacks from the vicious environment created by the Communist Party, the physical torture, the social discrimination caused by the propaganda, and the financial burdens combined and exceeded Yang Caiyin's ability to endure. The immense pressure caused a total mental collapse, and his health quickly deteriorated. Finally, Mr. Yang died on April 23, 2005. -
39 Falun Gong Practitioners Passed Away Due to the Persecution
2005-05-29Recently, we were informed of the deaths of an additional 39 Mainland China Falun Gong practitioners due to the persecution. Two were from Beijing, five from Guangdong Province, seven from Hebei Province, eight from Jilin Province, four from Shandong Province, three from Heilongjiang Province, and two from Hubei Province and Sichuan Province. In addition, there were practitioners from Tianjin, Liaoning Province, Jiangxi Province, and Guizhou Province who passed away as a result of the persecution. -
Fourteen Falun Dafa Practitioners Die from Persecution
2005-05-2864 year old Ms. Zhang Shulan went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong with about eight fellow practitioners. She was arrested by police in Beijing, and forcibly handcuffed and beaten. The local police took her and the other practitioners back to their hometown, and held them in custody at Tiechang Police Station. It was during the chill of winter and it was snowing outside. During the first three days, the police tied them to a tree, and made them sleep on the floor at night. Afterwards, the police extorted 3000 yuan in fines from each practitioner. After she was released, she was frequently harassed by the police. Ms. Zhang Shulan died on January 31, 2002. -
Three Falun Dafa Practitioners from Liaoning Province Died as a Result of the Persecution
2005-05-26In July 1999, 75 year old Mr. Li Zongzheng went to Beijing to appeal for the right to practise Falun Dafa. He was arrested by the police when he returned home. The police ordered Mr. Li to slander Falun Dafa in front of a television camera. The police threatened to extend his detention, ransack his home, and extort money if he did not comply with their demands. He complied with their demands. Mr. Li's mind and body were severely affected by the persecution. Finally the police extorted money from his family members and released him from detention. I Witnessed Wu Baowang's Death Due to Torture at the Shuangcheng City Detention Centre
2005-05-25"I witnessed the murder of practitioner Mr. Wu Baowang at the hands of guards in the Shuangcheng Detention Centre. I was arrested and sent to the Shuangcheng City Detention Centre, Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province. Wu Baowang was also detained there. In fact, there was only one cell between his and mine. His cell number was 6 and mine was 8. On May 15, 2002, I heard continuous, heart-breaking screams coming from Wu Baowang's cell. At the beginning the sound was loud, but later it became weaker and weaker. I heard him say, "You are doing this to kill me! You don't want me to live!" Later, it was completely quiet." -
Seventeen Practitioners from Jilin, Hebei, Heilongjiang, and Other Provinces Die as a Result of Persecution
2005-05-25Ms. Liu Fang, 53, went to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong in December 1999 and was detained there. Policemen poured cold water on her head, one basin after another, on a cold winter day. She went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong again in October 2000, and was sentenced to three years in a forced labour camp. She was very weak and had high blood pressure when she was jailed in Changchun City's Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp. Nonetheless, policemen still beat her with electric batons. After the continuous persecution she suffered, Liu Fang was severely injured both physically and mentally. She suffered from a mental collapse in 2003, and in March 2004, she had bleeding in her brain and lapsed into a coma. She passed away on April 13, 2005. -
Eighteen Falun Dafa Practitioners in Shandong, Liaoning and Guangdong Provinces and Inner Mongolia Die from Persecution
2005-05-24Ms. Zhang Xihui, 54, was a Falun Dafa practitioner from Shandong Province. She had appealed for Falun Dafa twice since the persecution began in 1999, and had been arrested many times. When she was released from her last detention, she showed symptoms of mental trauma. It was reported that she may have been injected with nerve-damaging drugs. Since then she had not been clear-minded. She suffered massive oedema and died on April 27, 2005. -
Fourteen Practitioners in Several Regions of China Died from the Persecution
2005-05-24Ms. Wang Shuyua, 74, lived in a village in Liaoning Province. After starting Falun Gong practice in July 1997, she was healthy and full of energy. For practising Falun Gong outdoors on August 13, 2000, she was detained by police, put in a metal cage for three days and later sent to a detention centre. Deciding she was too old to keep in detention, the police released her after forcing her to pay a fine of 200 yuan. Her three daughters, however, were arrested, detained and fined many times, causing her intense and prolonged stress. Ms. Wang passed away on August 6, 2004. -
Ten Falun Dafa Practitioners Die from Persecution in Sichuan, Heilongjiang, Gansu and Shandong Provinces
2005-05-2461 year old Ms. Zhu Yunfeng, lived in Sichuan Province. She suffered from diabetes and other conditions of the heart and blood vessels, but quickly recovered full health after she started practising Falun Dafa in 1995. In November 2000 in order to ask for justice for Dafa, she went to Tiananmen Square to appeal and the police abducted her. She was tortured for a long time at a custody centre. Officers in Chengdu City set up a solitary confinement cell where they tortured and interrogated her. They also forced her to stand for long periods of time. She passed away in early July 2001.
