  • Belgium: Belgian Theatergoers Marvel at Chinese Culture

    Three wonderful shows by Divine Performing Arts in Antwerp warmed the hearts of the usually conservative Belgians. A line of people could be seen at the ticket window right before the show. The audience members gave long, standing ovations at the end of each show. Some waved at the artists, while speaking glowingly about their impressions afterward.
  • Belgium: "I Am Happy I Made Time to Come to the Show!"

    The Divine Performing Arts staged two shows in Antwerp, Belgium on February 27th, 2008. After the shows the audience offered much praise for the performances. Verwigen Erik is a supervisor at Belgacom, the largest telecommunication company in Belgium. He took the day off from work so he could see the show. He said he was happy he made time to see it. "It is wonderful!"
  • Belgian Artists Admire the Divine Performing Arts

    The US-based Divine Performing Arts Touring Company (DPA) staged three shows of the Chinese Spectacular at the Stadsschouwburg Theater in Antwerp, Belgium over the past two days. Belgian political VIPs, dance experts and professors, top ballet dancers and artists were among the audience, and expressed their admiration for the Divine Performing Arts.
  • Germany: A Big Welcome in Europe for the Divine Performing Arts Opening Night in Duisburg

    On Tuesday, February 12th, 2008, twenty male and female performers from the company of Shen Yun Dancers arrived at Dusseldorf airport from New York. They began their European tour with the opening night of the Chinese Shen Yun-Show, on February 13th 2008, and continue with a second show on February 14th 2008 in Duisburg.
  • United Kingdom: Great Praise from Members of the Audience After the Gala Spectacular in London

    Jack Huang, an ethnic Chinese in his seventies from North London said, “The show is pretty good, even better than the traditional shows before the CCP took power”. He particularly enjoyed the 'Water Fairy' act and he thought the computer generated backdrop was brilliant and brought out the colours vividly. He loved the long silk costumes and the dance with the Tibetan girls. “It would be great if the curtains were never brought down” said he with a smile.
  • The Hague: "The acts we liked best were 'Water Sleeves' and the 'Drum Dance'"

    On February 20th, 2008, the Chinese Spectacular presented by the touring Divine Performing Arts Company came to a successful end in The Hague, in the Netherlands. The Spectacular Show brought to the audience the splendour and magnificence of Chinese traditional culture. At the end of the performance, all the audience stood and burst into thunderous applause.
  • 'Spectacular' is 'very spiritual, very uplifting, humanist and joyful'

    LONDON—An award-winning journalist says that as a Buddhist, he could identify with the spiritual message in the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular, currently playing at London's Royal Festival Hall. Roy Stone works for the Daily Telegraph. He came to the show with his wife Pat, a primary school teacher, on Saturday evening. Pat is also a Buddhist.
  • Germany: “It really is not quite our culture but it is fabulous”

    The Chinese New Years Spectacular had its last performance in Frankfurt on February 17th. This was the fifth time the Divine Performing Arts artists performed their action-packed travels into ancient Chinese culture, bringing to the audience renewed traditional values in Germany. “The dances were so soothing, very beautiful and comforting”, said Mrs. Wong a nurse from Frankfurt after the show. “I was fortunate to get time off at work.” The Indonesian born Chinese lady brought her husband to the Gala.
  • Epoch Times: ‘Chinese Spectacular’ Delights Frankfurt Audience

    Lars said the Spectacular brought Chinese culture closer to him. “I’d never learned about Chinese culture before, it’s so far away.” “The hosts were very interesting … It was particularly interesting to see a show without Germans in the cast,” he added. They have three children and said they’d heard many interesting stories about China from Tanja’s mother who spent a month there.
  • Germany: “I have never seen such a moving and traditional Chinese performance”, says diplomat

    “I have been in Germany for over seven years, but I have never seen such moving traditional Chinese performance” Mr. Zhang Weiting the Director of Taipei Tourism Agency, Taiwan Ministry of Transportation and Communications said after seeing the Gala Spectacular in Frankfurt on the 16th of February. He said, “I would like to express my respect for Shen Yun for organising such a big performance group”.
  • Germany: “I found the dances to be wonderful and the choreography was perfect”

    The second and last Gala Spectacular show by the Divine Performing Arts Company in Duisburg’s Marientor Theatre was performed on Wednesday February 14th, 2008. The audience was very taken by the show that presented art inspired by gods with their perfect dance, music and song performances by fifty male and female artists.
  • Germany: Opening Night of the Spectacular in Duisburg

    On Tuesday, February 13th, the opening night of the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular began at 8pm in Duisburg. Around fifty male and female artists performed a breathtaking, colourful and touching performance for the entire family and brought to the audience a touch of the true and profound Chinese culture.
  • Germany: More Praise for the Spectacular in Frankfurt

    The Jahrhunderthalle, a multifunction art and conference centre in Frankfurt, won German’s best conference centre award due to its unique software service and hardware infrastructure. The Divine Performing Arts group on tour from America staged its second performance in Europe here to an enchanted audience.

    In the history of China, stories about of Gagaku, songs that helped people get rid of illnesses and keep fit, were heard from time to time. There is an old saying in China: "Merit Music and Gagaku are useful to people's physical and mental health". Many westerners think that classical music can help people keep emotional stability and help to stabilise a patient's condition. Miracles of illnesses being dispelled after watching the Shen Yun Chinese Spectacular have been heard in the Shen Yun Performance Group’s tour across the world in the past two years. In the first concert performed at Duisburg Germany by Shen Yun Performance Group a reporter encountered such a case.
  • Germany: Award-Winning Chinese Newspaper Reporter gives an Interview after Watching the Spectacular

    In September 2006, the literary work “‘What Kind of God’. A Survey of the Current Safety of China’s Food” was short listed for the Letter of Ulysses Award for the Art of Reporting 2006. The report related the current situation of the safety of food in China, and its author, Zhou Qing, consequently received attention from the international community. “What Kind of God” has already been translated into many languages, with the Japanese version reaching a towering 50,000 copies on its first publication.
