  • Mayor of South Dublin: "I recommend this show universally"

    The Mayor of South Dublin, District Councillor Mick Duff was amazed with what he saw the evening of March 28 at Dublin's Grand Canal Theatre. "I have never had the privilege of seeing Chinese traditional music and dance as we have seen tonight. It was beyond words, really incredible." Mr Duff was hopeful that Shen Yun will return to Ireland next year.

    From the 19th to the 24th of February 2010, the Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance International Art Exhibition was held at the renowned Yunus Emre Culture Centre in Istanbul. The art exhibition not only greatly impressed local people from various walks of life, it also evoked compassion and conscience for many of the attendees.

    Jutta Lenz, a psychiatrist and sports scientist, owner of a management-consulting firm, had bought a ticket to the show after seeing the beautifully dressed dancers in the advertisements. "The show is superb. I am thrilled to be here. I have never seen such perfection. Excellent," she said. "The dances were very impressive."

    Antonia Frick, President of the Foundation Liechtenstein, and her sister attended Shen Yun's opening Austria performance on March 23. "I loved the show. What impressed me most was the depiction of heavens and the worldly realm. It was absolutely fantastic... I was amazed by everything I saw," said Ms. Frick.

    The Shen Yun Performing Arts Touring Company performed for the first time in Bregenz located on the eastern shore of Lake Constance. Bregenz is the capital of Austria's most Western state Vorarlberg. Many audience members travelled quite a distance to see the world-renowned traditional Chinese cultural show.

    There were many parts in the show that moved Ms. Anthonio. Referring to the dance "Nothing Can Block the Divine Path," which shows the persecution of Falun Gong, she said, "I tried not to cry. It is really touching because you know it is happening all the time, that people are persecuted in China. They don´t have freedom, freedom of speech, or to do what they want."
  • Patent Attorney in Amsterdam: Shen Yun is "Something Completely Different! We Like it!"

    Pavel Mulyav, a patent attorney, attended the show with his wife Iryna, a bank risk manager and a long-time avid dancer. The couple said that the show far exceeded their expectations. "We were positively surprised," she said, with Mr. Mulyav, adding, "It's very traditional ... you don't see many traditional dances nowadays."
  • Netherlands: Shen Yun's Final Performance in Amsterdam a Great Success

    Also in the audience was Dutch TV and movie celebrity Erik van Muiswinkel, who is known for his stand-up comedy and also for being an outspoken supporter of human rights. For Mr. van Muiswinkel it was the second time to see Shen Yun. "What impressed me very much was the erhu performance. That lady, Mei Xuan, is wonderful, she is very distinguished."

    After seeing the exhibition, Principal Travitz expressed his thanks to the organizer for bringing these beautiful and peaceful works to the city. The general secretary of the Krasnodar branch of the Russian human rights organisation "Memory" said, "It is vital to unveil the Chinese Communist regime's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners."
  • France: Falun Gong Invited to Paris Chinese New Year Celebration

    On February 13, 2010, Falun Dafa practitioners were invited to the Chinese New Year celebration in Noisy le Grand, where there is a high rate of residents from Asia. The local government regards Chinese New Year as an important festival so it has organised the annual celebration for five years. Falun Gong has been invited each time.

    Istanbul, Turkey was appointed by the European Union as one of the 2010 European Capitals of Culture. On February 19, 2010, the Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance International Art Exhibition arrived in the city. This art show has toured the world, visiting over forty countries on five continents, and has received high commendations from the people of Istanbul.
