Finland: Falun Gong Photo Exhibition Tours Lapland (Part 1)
2005-06-12During spring 2005, we contacted several libraries in Lapland and made inquiries about holding a Falun Gong photo exhibition. Several librarians were interested to hold an exhibition during the spring and summer. Most of them knew about Falun Gong already and those who didn’t were interested to hold the exhibition and find out more. -
United Kingdom: Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance International Art Exhibition held in Central London
2005-06-08From the 31st of May to the 3rd of June, the Truthfulness, Compassion Forbearance International Art Exhibition was successfully held in central London. This special art exhibition is created by Falun Gong practitioner artists, many of whom have suffered vicious persecution first-hand in Chinese forced labour camps and prisons. -
Russia: Photo Exhibition Successfully Held in Nizenyi Novgorod City
2005-06-04Many people came to look at the pictures and the practitioners talked with them about Falun Gong practice and the persecution that is happening in China. Local media interviewed the practitioners for their reports on the exhibition, including a news programme that has about three million viewers. -
Spain: Anti-Torture Exhibition in Parla is Widely Supported
2005-06-02After hearing the truth of the persecution and the purpose of our activity, the police said, "The crime of genocide should never happen in the 21st Century. You can continue your activity, although you should normally apply for a permit in advance to hold such an activity. Your situation is really special.” After finding out more about the persecution, they also signed their names on the petition. -
Germany: Anti-torture Exhibition and Information Day in Darmstadt
2005-05-31The exhibition included paintings from Falun Gong practitioners, many of whom have suffered persecution first-hand. People were drawn to the caged practitioner, re-enacting a torture scene that is used in cruel attempts to force practitioners in China to renounce their beliefs. They stopped to learn more about Falun Gong and the human rights abuses perpetrated by the Chinese Communist Party. -
Germany: Attracting Public Attention with our Anti-torture Exhibition
2005-05-28It was a sunny Saturday spring morning when I arrived at the downtown Kassel Falun Gong information stall. Practitioners had chosen a great location, right in a busy pedestrian zone. The site was visible from many directions. The trams passed our information stall, which allowed many people to see our posters and the colourfully decorated display. -
Sweden: Truth, Compassion, Tolerance International Art Exhibition Premiers at a Health Fair in Jönköping
2005-05-26All the visitors had the chance to see the exhibition since it was the only way in and out of the large exhibition hall. Many told us that they liked the paintings. One visitor stopped for almost an hour at the exhibition and talked with practitioners about Falun Gong and the persecution. Finally he said, “I don’t need to go into the fair, this is all I need.” -
Turkey: "Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance International Art Exhibition" Successfully Held in Ankara
2005-05-24Between the 7th and 12th of May, Falun Gong practitioners in Ankara successfully held the “Falun Dafa Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance International Art Exhibition” at the Epoch Arts Centre, the biggest and most famous state-owned exhibition hall. Over the six days of the exhibition, more than a thousand people attended. -
United Kingdom: "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" International Art Exhibition Held in Cambridge
2005-05-23On 20th May 2005, the "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" International Art Exhibition opened to the public in the Cambridge Union. Twenty four works of art by Falun Gong practitioners lined the corridors of this 200-year old building. Though students were bustling past, many also stopped in their tracks to take in the artistic pieces. -
Turkey: "Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance" painting exhibition held in Ankara
2005-05-22From May the7th to the 12th, the Falun Gong Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance International Painting Exhibition was successfully held at the biggest and famous Turkish national Time Art Centre in Ankara. During the five days many people visited the exhibition and learned about Falun Gong. -
Hungary: First Anti-torture Exhibition in Budapest Draws Attention from the Public and the Media
2005-05-14A Chinese tourist from the U.S., having viewed the anti-torture exhibition, commented that she had visited many Falun Gong websites and that the CCP’s persecution is indeed outrageous. She remarked before leaving, “I admire your courage. China needs people like you to stand up and speak out. I Hope you will continue like this. I wish you success!” -
France: Introducing Falun Gong in the Municipality of Le Moule Library in Guadeloupe
2005-05-14People were shocked and moved while looking at the photo display about Falun Gong and the human rights abuses waged against practitioners in Mainland China. They were moved by Falun Gong practitioners' compassion and spirit of perseverance and astonished at the severe persecution. Many people signed the petition to call for an end to the atrocities. -
Interview: Falun Gong Exhibitions in Over Fifty Swedish Libraries
2005-05-12Since 2001, a practitioner from the west of Sweden has been driving around with an exhibition to libraries and health centres to raise awareness about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. Germany: To Commemorate the "4.25" Appeal, Practitioners Held an Anti-Torture Exhibition in Munich
2005-05-09On the 30th of April 2005, Falun Gong practitioners from various cities in south Germany, including Passau, Augsburg, Ulm and Munich, gathered at Karlsplatz in Munich. They organised an anti-torture exhibition to commemorate the 6th anniversary of the peaceful appeal by ten thousand Falun Gong practitioners on 25th April 1999.
