2005-05-06On April 25th 2005, exactly six years after 10,000 Falun Gong practitioners in China went to peacefully appeal for freedom and justice, North German practitioners held activities to call attention to the persecution of Falun Gong in China. It has been a long time since practitioners encountered such a sympathetic public as the one they found that day. -
Ukraine: Art Exhibition Aroused Good Nature in People’s Hearts
2005-05-06From the 21st to the 24th of April 2005, Falun Gong practitioners from several cities in Ukraine went to the Art Museum in Vinnitsa city to hold the “Journey of Falun Dafa” photo exhibition. The exhibition was a great way for people in the city to find out what Falun Gong is and why the peaceful practice is being violently persecuted in China. -
Ukraine: “The Journey of Falun Dafa” Exhibition in Globin City
2005-05-05Practitioners held the “Journey of Falun Dafa” exhibition in Ukraine’s Hlobyne. The exhibition displayed several photos about Falun Gong’s popularity in over sixty countries, as well as practitioners’ extraordinary perseverance in their peaceful struggle against the cruel persecution launched by the Jiang regime. -
United Kingdom: To Commemorate the “4.25” Appeal, Practitioners held a Photo Exhibition Exposing the CCP’s Atrocities against Falun Gong
2005-05-04The photos revealed how Falun Gong practitioners in China are being subjected to brutal persecution. They also conveyed the reason behind the persecution: The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is notoriously known for its “falsity, evilness and violence”, principles that are very different from Falun Gong, which is based on “Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance.” -
Ukraine: "Journey of Compassion" Painting Exhibition in Kramatorsk City
2005-05-01The "Journey of Compassion" painting exhibition took place in Kramatorsk city from the 15th to the 17th of April 2005. The exhibition showed work by artists who practise Falun Gong and the handicrafts created by Ukrainian Falun Gong practitioners. The delicate art work reflected the goodness and kindness that practitioners develop through practising Falun Gong. -
Austria: Exposing the Persecution and Commemorating the "4.25" Peaceful Appeal
2005-04-29Austrian practitioners held an anti-torture exhibition in the centre of Vienna to commemorate the sixth anniversary of the "4.25" peaceful appeal and to let people know about the persecution against Falun Gong in China. We prepared leaflets in ten languages so that most of the tourists could receive information in their native tongue. -
Spain: Many People Sign a Petition Calling for an End to the Persecution after Viewing an Anti-torture Exhibition (2)
2005-04-23Spanish practitioners held an anti-torture exhibition in La Rambla, downtown Barcelona. Many kind-hearted people signed a petition to support Falun Gong practitioners. Some asked for more flyers to give to their teachers, classmates, family members or colleagues, while others bought books and wanted to learn the exercises on the spot. -
Italy: Anti-torture Exhibition Touches People’s Conscience in Milan
2005-04-22Italian practitioners went to Cardusio Square and held an anti-torture exhibition to let the public know about the Chinese Communist Party’s persecution against their fellow practitioners in China. They re-enacted two methods of torture used to force practitioners in China to give up their beliefs. Many tourist groups from Mainland China saw the exhibition. -
Geneva: Demonstrating Methods of Torture and Taking a Close Look at the Persecution
2005-04-20Passers-by stopped and were shocked at the scene. The adjacent posters answered their questions. These two people were demonstrating one method of torture suffered by Falun Gong practitioners in China’s labour camps or prisons. The re-enacted method is a light one compared to some of the other kinds of torture methods used by the Chinese Communist Party in cruel attempts to force Falun Gong practitioners to renounce their beliefs. -
Spain: Many People Sign a Petition Calling for an End to the Persecution after Viewing an Anti-torture Exhibition (1)
2005-04-20The practitioners’ re-enactment of a few of the brutal torture methods used in cruel attempts to force Falun Gong practitioners to renounce their beliefs shocked the Spanish people. People asked how they could help to stop the persecution. When they were told that their signatures were needed for the petition, they lined up to sign their names. -
Italy: Anti-Torture Exhibition in Aosta City Receives People's Warm Support
2005-04-18On the streets in the town centre, we set up our display boards and held an anti-torture exhibition. Local people taking a walk at the weekend and tourists all stopped to watch the re-enactments of the torture methods employed by the Chinese Communist Party in attempts to force Falun Gong practitioners to renounce their beliefs. -
Germany: Activities in Chamer to Raise Awareness of the Persecution
2005-04-18Lots of people in Chamer understand that Falun Gong is being wrongly persecuted. Nevertheless, it is still very hard for people living in free, democratic countries to imagine how a despotic communist regime controls the thoughts and behaviour of its citizens. So on the last weekend of March, practitioners decided to hold an anti-torture exhibition. -
Russia: Anti-torture Exhibition at the Chinese Embassy to Call for an End to the Persecution
2005-04-17Practitioners from Moscow and other areas of Russia gathered in front of the Chinese Embassy. A series of information boards were put on display to exhibit the various forms of torture that the communist regime uses in cruel attempts to force Falun Gong practitioners to renounce their beliefs. They demanded that the persecution be stopped and the prime culprits be brought to justice. -
Czech Republic: Anti-torture Exhibit Receives Public Support and Media Attention in Brno
2005-04-16On Friday the 8th of April, the peaceful sounds of Falun Dafa music spread through the Brno streets of Novobranska and Josefska. Practitioners from all over the Czech Republic, supported by a group of practitioners from England, gathered in Brno to tell the local people about the Chinese Communist Party‘s campaign of genocide against Falun Gong in China. -
Ukraine: Journey of Compassion Painting Exhibition held in Konstantinovka
2005-04-15Practitioners in Ukraine recently staged a painting exhibition entitled the Journey of Compassion in Konstantinoyka City. Through watching the painting exhibition, many people felt angry after finding out about the cruel torture against Falun Gong practitioners initiated by the Chinese Communist Party. People signed their names on the petition form to support Falun Gong practitioners.
