United Kingdom: Students and Staff from the University of Glasgow show their Support for Falun Gong Practitioners’ Human Rights
2005-03-03The student chapter of Amnesty International held a Falun Gong seminar after the anti-torture exhibition. Practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises and talked about the practice; they told the students about Falun Gong’s popularity in 60 countries, former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin using the Chinese Communist Party’s long history of persecution in his personal vendetta against Falun Gong and the many atrocities and human rights abuses that practitioners have endured over the past six years. They explained that Falun Gong’s guiding principles are Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance and there has never been a single case of practitioners retaliating against their persecutors, even under severe torture. -
Switzerland: Local Government Official Expresses Support at an Anti-Torture Exhibition

2005-02-26A poster exhibition about Falun Gong has been set up at the public library in the city of Bergen, Norway. The exhibition includes around 30 posters that are well placed along the wall of the library’s main staircase and many people pass by them every day. Brochures containing information on Falun Gong are available to accompany the exhibition. -

The re-enactments of the methods of torture used to force Falun Gong practitioners to renounce their beliefs helped many people see the terrible crimes committed under orders from the former Chinese Leader Jiang Zemin. -

A Touching Story about a Happy Elderly Lady in Ukraine
2005-02-03A kind elderly lady explained how she overcame difficulties and her poor health to come to attend the art exhibition held by Falun Gong practitioners. The lady carefully viewed each painting and did not want to leave. She was so happy that she looked as if she were a child again. The kind old lady felt extremely thankful for being able to view the paintings. -
Finland: Exhibition Displays the Beauty of Falun Dafa and the Injustice of the Persecution

Ukraine: The People of Ukraine welcome “The Journey of Compassion” Painting Exhibition
2005-02-02Ukrainian Falun Gong practitioners held a painting exhibition entitled “The Journey of Compassion”. They gave out lots of invitations and also held a “Petals of Peace” activity, a nine-day lecture seminar for people to watch Master Li’s lecture series and a petition signature collection calling for an end to the persecution. -
“Plum Blossom in Snow” will Premiere at the Gothenburg Movie Festival
2005-02-01The documentary “Plum Blossom in Snow” is about how Falun Gong practitioners are treated in contemporary China. A man’s tragic fate is narrated by his wife and daughter after he was killed for his belief in Falun Gong. The movie will be shown in Hagatheater, the city museum, during the Gothenburg movie festival between the 28th of January and the 5th of February 2005. -
