Provincia di Biella
Commissioner of Peace and Cooperation
Department of Culture, Education and Politics
Biella
2nd January 2006
Well-beloved Falun Gong Association of Italy,
Re: The human rights of Falun Gong practitioners being violated.
During the conversation between you and one of my colleagues, you mentioned that the human rights of Falun gong practitioners were being seriously violated in China. On behalf of the Department of Peace and Cooperation in the government of Biella Province, I am expressing our sympathy and support for you.
We have known the fact that the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners began in 1999. In order to suppress this cultivation way and its practitioners, the Chinese Communist Party has been changing its methods of persecution continuously, such as excruciating torture, sending them into exile, forcing them to do heavy work and spreading propaganda of hatred aimed at Falun Gong. We can not accept the action of violating human rights; the most basic human thought is the right to ones belief, free speech and the freedom of forming an association. Therefore, we suggest that you should participate in a peaceful round-table conference in Biella Province so that it will better for you to spread truth clarification and promote a campaign to help people to understand the condition of human rights in China.
Yours sincerely,
Commissioner of Peace and Cooperation
Dott. Davide Bazzini
