Falun Gong practitioners held activities in Austin, the Texas capital, on July 8th, 2006, to condemn the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) police in Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province for illegally detaining Dafa practitioner Dang Xiuli. The practitioners initiated a signature collection drive to further expose to American society the CCP’s brutal persecution of Falun Gong.
According to Falun Gong websites, the older sister of Dafa practitioner Tony from Texas, Dafa practitioner Dang Xiuli from Tengzhou City, Shandong Province was illegally arrested at 6:00 p.m. on June 12th, 2006, and is being detained in a detention centre in Zaozhuang City. Further news was revealed from an announcement by the "World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong." The organisation is looking into lawless officials in Shandong Province including Li Yumei, Men Zhongrun, Zhang Zhiming and others, and revealed that "The arrest was under the direct order of Li Yumei, deputy head of 610 Office in Shandong Province, and conducted by a branch of Zaozhuang City Police Department." They also stated that "A related department is preparing to send her to a force labour camp."
Tony said in his speech, "My older sister has done nothing wrong. She only told her students what Falun Gong is and the facts of (the CCP’s) persecution of Falun Gong. She should not have been detained. All Falun Gong practitioners who have been persecuted suffered brutal torture and many have had their organs harvested. They are all innocent."
When people learned about Tony’s sister’s plight, they all express their indignation over the CCP’s unreasonable persecution, and signed the petition to support Falun Gong practitioners’ anti-persecution efforts. Many people had a conversation with Tony to gain more information about the situation.
Tony expressed that he and other practitioners will pay close attention to his older sister’s safety and the development of the situation, especially after learning about the CCP’s harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners in forced labour camps. They will also contact members of congress and the media to call for more people to take part in the activities of anti-persecution and rescue of family members.
We hope that righteous people in China will provide more information and the current situation of Dang Xiuli.
