On the afternoon of July 7th, 2010, Falun Gong practitioners Xie Jinda, Xue Yuxia, and Zheng Guolin from Harbin City distributed Falun Gong leaflets exposing the persecution to people in Hongjuntuner, Yongyuan Town, Acheng District. The new Yuanzhen Police Station Chief Wang Jun drove to Hongjuntuner and arrested the three practitioners.
The practitioners' family members immediately hurried to Yongyuan Town upon hearing the news of their arrests. However, the police refused to let them into the police station. The police began pushing, shoving and threatening Zheng Guolin, who is over seventy years old. The family members, after having waited outside the door of the police station for over four hours, became very worried and tried to peek through the window. The policemen inside immediately began to take pictures of them.
Officer Wang Jun made a call to the Daowai Division Bureau in Harbin City, presumably to ask for instructions. At around 10 p.m., the three practitioners were taken to the Daowai Bureau.
According to sources, Zheng Guolin is currently being imprisoned in the detention centre located downstairs of the Daowai Bureau, while Xie Jinda and Xue Yuxia are being imprisoned at the Yaziquan Detention Centre.
According to another source, the Daowai Bureau is trying to come up with "evidence" to charge the three practitioners to justify their imprisonment.
Xie Jinda suffered from a variety of medical problems before practising Falun Gong. Currently, there is no one to take care of Jinda's young daughter at home.
