Around 10:20 a.m. on October 25th, seven or eight officers from the Huaqiao Police Station in Xinjin County, Sichuan Province suddenly broke into the home of Ms. Lin Jiuliang. Ms. Lin asked: "What are you doing? You are not allowed to enter my home without my permission. It is against the law."
One of the policemen pulled out a piece of paper, calling it a "search warrant." Ms. Lin read the paper. The words "search warrant" were on it, but there was no explanation or reason for the search, no signature and no official seal. Basically, it was a just a piece of paper.
Ms. Lin shouted: "This is against the law!" A policeman took out a camera and took Ms. Li's photograph. They then entered all the rooms in Ms. Lin's house and rummaged through everything. They pried open drawers and trunks, damaged furniture, and threw clothing on the floor.
The police took all of her Falun Gong books, 2,500 yuan1 in cash, a DVD player, a mobile phone, Ms. Lin's identification card, and her daughter's wedding ring.
A week later, at about 10 a.m. on November 1st, five to six officers from the Huaqiao Police Station returned to Ms. Lin Jiuliang's home. They took her away without giving a reason for doing so. At that time, only Ms. Lin's father-in-law (who is over 90 years old) was at home. When he tried to stop them, they held him back so that he could not block the way.
Ms. Lin started to practise Falun Gong in 1998. Before that, she suffered from many illnesses, including rheumatoid heart disease. As a result of all the injections that she had to be given, her muscles atrophied. Finally, she could not take any more shots. After practising Falun Gong, her illnesses disappeared without taking any more medicine. She became healthy both physically and mentally. She now follows the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
