"610 Office" Personnel Force All Work Units to Persecute Dafa Practitioners

Since June 2002, people from the Guangzhou City's “610 Office” [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] have carried out another round of persecution against Falun Dafa practitioners. Practitioners whose names are on the list compiled by the "610 Office" were all forced to write the so-called "Guarantee Statement." (The "guarantee statement" implies that practitioners will no longer practice Falun Dafa, will no longer associate with other practitioners, will never again go to Beijing to appeal and are sorry they practiced Falun Dafa in the first place). The personnel threatened they would send practitioners who refused to write the statement to brainwashing classes. They even threatened the practitioners' work units and compelled them to cooperate. Some work units have threatened Falun Dafa practitioners with being fired from their jobs.
