Interview with Zhao Ming in Vienna
2004-06-26Zhao Ming is a former post-graduate student of Computer Science at Trinity College, Dublin. He now resides in Ireland as a refugee. Because he practises Falun Gong he was unlawfully arrested when he went back to China for Christmas in 1999. Zhao Ming was imprisoned for twenty two months and suffered unimaginable torture daily. In March 2002 he was released from prison and he returned to Dublin. Ever since then he has been informing the international community about the unlawful persecution in China. -

Romania: Policemen Violate People's Basic Freedom during Chinese President's Visit
2004-06-17Spokesperson of the Romanian Falun Dafa Association Dana Betlevy told reporters that on June the 13th and 14th, Falun Gong practitioners were harassed, closely monitored and followed by officers from National Security Department and police. We strongly condemn Jiang Zemin regime’s using economic and other benefits as a bait to force the Romanian government break the rules of democracy and basic human rights such as freedom of expression. China’s Ambassador to Ireland declares that Liu Feng can return to Ireland to resume his studies
2004-06-15On May the 11th 2004, the Chinese Ambassador to Ireland Sha Hailin held a meeting with the Irish Students Union and declared that Liu Feng, a Falun Gong practitioner, can return to Ireland to resume his studies. Liu Feng was arrested after he wrote a letter to the Chinese Premier when he returned to China for Christmas break in 1999; he was rearrested in June 2002 just before returning to Ireland whilst shopping and was subsequently sent to a forced labour camp. -
Poland: Chinese Diplomats Use Illegal Actions in Attempts to Stop Falun Gong Appeal
2004-06-12The beginning of June 2004 saw a visit from the Chinese President Hu Jintao to Poland, accompanied by Minister of Trade Bo Xilai, who has played a significant and extremely evil role in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. Because of this, Bo Xilai has already been the subject of legal action in other countries that he has visited, including the United Kingdom, Germany and the United States. Polish practitioners also employed legal action to file a lawsuit against this human rights criminal. -

Interview: The Power of Clarifying the Truth
2004-05-20Two years ago during Jiang Zemin's visit to Germany, the German police were pressured to take a series of harsh measures against Falun Gong practitioners in violation of German basic law. German practitioners filed lawsuits against the German police in several German states simultaneously. One year ago, Munich police station was pressured by the Chinese consulate to ban Falun Gong practitioners from displaying banners reading, "Bringing Jiang to Justice." The practitioners took legal action to deal with the problem. A Clearharmony reporter interviewed two of the practitioners directly involved in the above-mentioned events. -

2004-05-11In the UK, Falun Gong practitioners have collected over twenty thousand signatures appealing for the release of Zhu Yongjie, Zhu Baolian, He Jian and other UK practitioners’ family and friends persecuted and detained in China. In China there are many other practitioners like Zhu Yongjie who are investigated by the Ministry of State Security. Their situations are of great concern. The Former Mayor of Paris and Other French Politicians Express Concern About the Unlawful Harassment of Falun Gong Practitioners
2004-04-28In January of this year, a few people in the French government caved in to pressure and economic temptation from Jiang’s dictatorial regime and decided to exclude Falun Gong, a legally registered group in France that represents the best of Chinese traditional culture, from participating in the Chinese New Year parade on the Champs Elysees. Young Wife and Child Left Heartboken as 30 year old Mr. Wang Dayuan Beaten to Death in Harbin First Prison
2004-04-21Mr. Wang Dayuan, 30 years old, was a teacher at the Computer Science and Technology Institute of Harbin Industry University. In November of 2002, the police unlawfully arrested him and ransacked his home. He received an eight-year prison term to be served at Harbin First Prison. He was tortured to death on April 5, 2004. The prison leaders tried to shift responsibility by saying that three criminal inmates beat Mr. Wang to death. We all know that the criminal inmates would not dare to commit such a crime without being ordered to by the police. The unexpected sad news brought Mr. Wang's family enormous pain. The young wife, young child, and elderly parents can no longer see their most beloved one. -

UN Forum: "Chinese State Terrorism - Persecuting Falun Gong"
2004-04-14During the 60th Human Rights Conference at the UN, Falun Gong and the NGO “International Education Development” held a forum together, the theme of which was “Chinese State Terrorism: The Persecution of Falun Gong.” During question time, two people were sent by Jiang’s group, pretending that they were from an NGO. Even during the preparation time before the conference, Jiang’s group tried to bribe the guards and staff and hamper the conference’s preparation so that the conference couldn’t start on time.
