• Germany: Informing People about the Persecution of Falun Gong at the Annual Meeting of the Baltic Development Forum at Hamburg University

  For the first time since the citizens and senate of Hamburg joined the Baltic Development Forum in 2003, the city hosted its annual meeting from Sunday September the 2nd to Tuesday September the 4th 2004. The practitioners stayed at the main entrance of the university until the end of the summit. They talked to students, lecturers, university staff and people from economic circles about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. Everybody was very receptive and many people were glad to get more information.

• Russia: Falun Gong Practitioners Participate in the World Book Exhibition in Moscow

  Russian Falun Gong practitioners took part in this book exhibition. Their stall was on the second floor with a really eye-catching sign. At the stall, they showed Falun Dafa’s books in several languages and also honours that Falun Gong has been awarded from around the world. The main media and publishers in Russia also attended and they interviewed Falun Gong practitioners who participated in the exhibition.

  Schaffhausen City, located in the north-eastern area of Switzerland, borders Germany. During the holidays, many Germans visit the city. Swiss Dafa practitioners were granted permission by the Police Station in Schaffhausen city to hold an anti-torture exhibition to promote Falun Gong and demonstrate the Falun Gong exercises there.

• Spain: Promoting Falun Gong and Raising Awareness of the Persecution during a Persecutor’s Visit to Madrid

  On the eve of Jia Qinglin’s visit to Spain, the Spanish Falun Gong Association filed a lawsuit against Jia for the crimes of genocide and torture he committed in persecuting Falun Gong. Falun Gong practitioners went to the hotel where Jia Qinglin stayed. They displayed banners and exhibited photos of the persecution in front of the hotel.

• United Kingdom: Practitioners held Anti-Torture Exhibition at All Three Major Political Party Conferences

  There have been many great offers of support and help from delegates of all three parties and in total about 1400 delegates signed a petition calling for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong and for the human rights abuser and instigator of the persecution Jiang Zemin to be brought to justice. Delegates were appalled by the torture that Falun Gong practitioners have been subjected to and were shocked that some of the practitioners at the event suffered personally in the persecution. They showed great support to a practitioner who is trying to rescue his sister from a forced labour camp in China.

• Czech Republic: Tourists Join Practitioners' Parade Calling for an End to the Persecution of Falun Gong

  On the afternoon of September the 11th 2004, Falun Gong practitioners held a parade through Prague city centre to let people know about the campaign of genocide that is happening to practitioners in China and has already claimed at least 1059 lives. Many tourists asked for leaflets because they wanted to learn more about the persecution and some joined the parade.

  From August the 23rd to September the 13th, a Swiss Falun Gong practitioner went to Olbia city on the island of Sardinia in southern Italy. Every morning he practised Falun Gong exercises in a park and set up a series of display boards so that passers-by were able to read about Falun Gong and the persecution that practitioners in China are suffering.
