  • Swedish Media Covers Candlelight Vigil Commemorating Persecuted Falun Gong Practitioners

    On July 21st, 2009, Swedish Daily, the third largest newspaper in Sweden, carried an article entitled “The Meditation Against Suppression” to cover the candlelight vigil at the Chinese Embassy organised by Swedish Falun Gong practitioners to commemorate the thousands of Falun Gong practitioners killed by the communist regime in China.
  • Italy: Introducing Falun Gong at Milan Sport Days Event

    A little boy ran over and asked a practitioner: "How can I learn and how much do you charge?" The practitioner smiled and said: "I can teach you and it is free." The boy was delighted and learned the first exercise. To let people know about the ongoing persecution, posters which exposed torture methods used in Chinese practitioners were displayed.
  • Belgium: Many People at Bokrijk Festival Express the Wish to Learn Falun Gong

    The Falun Gong practitioners set up a tent near the entrance to the festival grounds. There was a display of informational materials about the practice's benefits to the mind and body, as well as information exposing the persecution that is happening in China.
  • Ireland: Seven-County Car Tour to Raise Awareness of the Persecution

    In mid-August 2009, eight practitioners spent a week traveling by car to seven counties in Ireland in order to raise awareness about Falun Gong. In every county, the practitioners met warm-hearted people. Many local media covered the event.
  • Spain: Falun Gong Practitioners Participate in Ripoll Health Festival

    Practitioners demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises in front of their booth. They also collected signatures to call for action to end the Chinese Communist regime's persecution of Falun Gong. People found the organ harvesting atrocities of the Communist regime very shocking. More than 200 people signed the petition in a day.
  • Germany: "I Hope That the Irrational Persecution Will Soon Be Stopped"

    On Saturday September 5, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners from Ulm and Augsburg held an Information Day activity in Augsburg, in southern Germany, to call for an end to the persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Many people stopped in front of the information desk and displays, and carefully read the contents of the display posters.
  • Germany: Chinese Tourists Begin to Think at Leipzig Falun Dafa Information Day

    On September 5, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners held an information day in downtown Leipzig, a city in the eastern part of Germany, to introduce Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa), a cultivation practice based on the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and expose the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s ten-year brutal persecution.
  • Italy: Voices of Justice in front of the Chinese Consulate in Milan

    In front of Chinese Consulate in Milan, people can often see Falun Gong practitioners. From 2002, they have kept going there to expose the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s brutal persecution of Falun Gong despite wind or rain. Outside the consulate, voices of justice can be heard frequently from people who learn the truth about the CCP's persecution.
  • Belgium: Falun Gong Is Popular at Retrouvailles

    Retrouvailles is an annual event in Liège, Belgium. The Belgian Falun Dafa Association and over 300 other groups participated in this year's event. People were attracted by the beautiful Falun Gong music, and practitioners were busy explaining to the tourists what Falun Gong is, where to learn it, and why the CCP is persecuting this peaceful group.
  • Germany: Introducing Falun Gong at Bremen Health Week

    On September 4 and 5, 2009, the annual Health Week was held in Weserpark Shopping Centre in Bremen, a city in northern Germany. Many people learned about Falun Gong at the event. Practitioners demonstrated the exercises to music on stage in the shopping centre. The noisy hall suddenly became quiet, and people stopped to watch.
  • Switzerland: Anti-persecution Protest in front of the Chinese Embassy

    On the afternoon of July 18, 2009, Swiss Falun Gong practitioners held a press conference in front of the Chinese Consulate. Practitioners disclosed the CCP’s brutal persecution of Falun Gong, appealed to just people from all classes to condemn the Chinese Communists’ crimes against humanity and to support Falun Gong practitioners’ campaign of anti-persecution.
  • Italy: People of Val d’Arno Happily Learn about Falun Gong

    From June 26 to 28 2009, Falun Gong practitioners in Florence attended the cultural festival in the city of Val d’arno, bringing the teachings of Falun Gong to the people of this small city. Practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises in front of a booth provided by the organiser. They also exposed the Chinese Communist regime’s brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.
  • United Kingdom: : Bringing Falun Dafa to Chinatown and Trafalgar Square in London

    On August 29, 2009, the day before the 2009 UK Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference took place, Falun Gong practitioners held a parade in London. Practitioners from around the United Kingdom gathered in central London to introduce people to the beauty of Falun Dafa and to expose the brutal persecution in China.
  • Germany: Visitor to an Anti-Torture Display - "China Will Be Free of the CCP Soon!"

    This anti-torture re-enactment was held by Falun Gong practitioners in Dortmund, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany on August 22, 2009. In addition to the re-enactment of the Chinese Communist Party's torture methods and a poster display on the persecution, practitioners talked with passersby about the CCP's brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China.
  • U.N. Special Rapporteur on Torture: Regarding the Persecution of Falun Gong, "Nothing Seems to Have Changed for the Better"

    "Nothing seems to have changed for the better," Dr. Nowak told the Epoch Times reporter, "The majority of the inmates in these [forced labour] camps were Falun Gong members. And that is so frightening, because none of these people were ever given the benefit of a trial. They were never charged."
