  • Epoch Times: Shen Yun Artists Are "First class," Says President of Grand Council of Geneva

    Mr. Eric Leyvraz, president of the Grand Council of the Republic and Canton of Geneva, attended the performance of the New York-based Shen Yun Performing Arts at Théâtre du Léman in Geneva on Tuesday along with his wife. Mr. Leyvraz said the show was so fantastic that they did not feel the passage of time. "The artists are first class, really it is fantastic," he said, adding that show is a "high quality" performance.
  • Germany: Raising Awareness of Chinese Communist Party Atrocities before Germany's General Election

    Political candidate and TV station reporter Astrid Freudenstein said that when she taught at a university, she heard of serious human rights abuses by the CCP and its persecution of people with religious belief. She was shocked to know this time that the Chinese Communist regime even harvested organs from living Falun Gong practitioners for lucrative profits. She said she would take a copy of all the information materials home and read them carefully.
  • United Kingdom: Exposing the CCP's Crimes in Front of the Chinese Consulate in Manchester

    On October 1, 2009, the 60th anniversary of the CCP's rise to power, practitioners in Manchester demonstrated and did group exercises in front of the Chinese Consulate to expose the CCP's crimes. It has been 60 years since the CCP forcefully took power.
  • Germany: Falun Gong Receives Strong Support at the Cultural Carnival in Hamburg

    On September 12, groups of people from different nationalities in colourful costumes passed, singing and dancing through the Hamburg downtown area at the climax of the annual Cultural Carnival of Hamburg. As the only Chinese group, Falun Gong practitioners also joined in the parade and were well received by the organisers and audience.
  • France: Introducing Falun Dafa at Marly-le-Roi

    On September 12 2009, Falun Gong practitioners were invited to take part in a local community event in Marly-le-Roi, a quiet city about 9 miles west of Paris. The focus of the activity, sponsored by the local government, was to showcase the local artistic, educational, and sporting opportunities that are available to residents for their enjoyment and enrichment.
  • Estonia: "We Are Very Happy that You Are Here"

    On September 19-20 2009, Falun Gong practitioners in Finland visited their beautiful neighbouring country of Estonia to attend the 15th Health Expo. It was held at the Lauluväljakilla Park in the capital of Tallinn. They introduced Falun Gong and exposed the CCP's brutal persecution of the practice over the last ten years.
  • United Kingdom: Falun Gong at the Fresher’s Fayre at Kingston University

    The serene images of the practitioners in meditation and the sign reading “Falun Gong, meditative exercises” caught the eye of students strolling by. Most had not heard about Falun Gong before, and after learning more, happily left their contact details to find out about the free sessions held weekly at the university.
  • Germany: Falun Gong Practitioners’ Elegant Demeanour at Augsburg Peace Culture Festival

    On 18th July 2009, Augsburg, the third largest city in southern Germany, welcomed the 7th Peace Culture Festival. The primary themes of the festival are to love peacefulness, oppose violence, and respect various national cultures. Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) practitioners were invited to attend this festival by the event organiser and participated for the sixth year.
  • Ireland: Calling for an End to the Ten Years of Persecution

    To commemorate ten years of persecution against Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), Irish practitioners held a march and other activities in Dublin on the 18th, 19th and 20th of July. They called on the Irish government and people from all walks of life to join the rising worldwide voice to stop the persecution.
  • Russia: Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference Held in Moscow

    Falun Dafa practitioners in Russia, Ukraine, Belorussia, Moldova, Latvia, Sweden, and the Czech Republic held a Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference in Moscow from September 19 to 20, 2009. Practitioners shared their experiences of cultivation and participating in activities exposing the persecution of Falun Gong.
  • France: Falun Gong Practitioners Mark Ten Years of Persecution at the Eiffel Tower

    On July 19 2009, Falun Gong practitioners in France rallied at the Eiffel Tower in Paris, exposing the Chinese Communist regime’s ten years of persecution against Falun Gong. While some practitioners demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises, others displayed some torture methods that are used by the Chinese Communist regime on Falun Gong practitioners.
  • Germany: Parade in Berlin Calls for an End to the Persecution

    On 11th July 2009, Falun Gong practitioners in Germany held a rally and parade in Berlin calling for an end to the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution. A representative from the Falun Dafa Association in Germany read an open letter to all governments in the world, calling on all countries to support freedom and human rights.
  • Swedish Media Covers Candlelight Vigil Commemorating Persecuted Falun Gong Practitioners

    On July 21st, 2009, Swedish Daily, the third largest newspaper in Sweden, carried an article entitled “The Meditation Against Suppression” to cover the candlelight vigil at the Chinese Embassy organised by Swedish Falun Gong practitioners to commemorate the thousands of Falun Gong practitioners killed by the communist regime in China.
  • Italy: Introducing Falun Gong at Milan Sport Days Event

    A little boy ran over and asked a practitioner: "How can I learn and how much do you charge?" The practitioner smiled and said: "I can teach you and it is free." The boy was delighted and learned the first exercise. To let people know about the ongoing persecution, posters which exposed torture methods used in Chinese practitioners were displayed.
  • Belgium: Many People at Bokrijk Festival Express the Wish to Learn Falun Gong

    The Falun Gong practitioners set up a tent near the entrance to the festival grounds. There was a display of informational materials about the practice's benefits to the mind and body, as well as information exposing the persecution that is happening in China.
