Germany: Falun Gong and Lotus Flowers to the Fore at The Altonale Culture Festival
2007-07-07With the theme “The Path of Falun Gong” we organised a photo exhibition in two pavilions. There were photos depicting the dissemination of Falun Gong, photos about the persecution that began in July of 1999, as well as photos about the peaceful protests that call for an end to the torture and murder of Falun Gong practitioners in China. -

2007-07-07No world event symbolises peace and harmony amongst the people of the world more than the Olympic Games. Besides the significance of Greece being the site of the first Olympics, both ancient and modern, it also hosted the last games in 2004, when all nations of the world were united in the spirit of fair play. If China is allowed to host the next Olympics without first ending its morally corrupt human rights abuses, especially the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, it will be a sad indictment on the moral standards of the world as a whole". -

2007-07-06"The torch will start on the 9th August in Athens and will then be carried through more than ten countries in Europe and then onto other countries around the world, in order to show the Chinese authorities the volume of support for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong, and to demonstrate the strength of feeling amongst right-minded people that the 2008 Olympics cannot co-exist with a climate of intimidation and physical and mental abuse of Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese government". -
Germany: Raising Awareness about the Persecution of Falun Gong During the Regensburg Citizens’ Festival
2007-07-06Regensburg is an ancient city in south Germany with a history of 2,000 years. The Citizen Festival is held in this city every two years and attracts thousands of tourists from all the corners of the world. The Citizens’ Festival 2007 was held on 23rd and 24th of June. German Falun Gong practitioners took part in the festival again and they found the difference between this year and last year was that tourists came up to seek the truth rather than waiting to be approached. -

Austria: Raising Awareness about Falun Gong in the Streets of Salzburg
2007-07-05On June 30th, 2007, a group of Austrian Falun Gong practitioners held an activity in the old city of Salzburg to expose the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party. They also hoped to introduce the benefits of practising Falun Gong to local people and visitors visiting the city from all over the world. -

Germany: Hamburg Practitioners' Activity to Support the Twenty Million Withdrawals from the CCP
2007-07-04Hamburg practitioners organised an information day in support of the twenty million withdrawals form the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The booth was at a coveted location close to the central train station, because there were many passersby in that particular area. A man from Dortmund commented on the theme of the persecution of believers and different-minded people, “I know about it. I come from the former East Germany. The same happened in the former German Democratic Republic (GDR) under the communist regime.” -
HELSINGIN SANOMAT (Finland): “Chinese Communist Regime Limits Hong Kong Citizens' Rights of Election”
2007-07-04On June 29th, 2007, Helsinki newspaper HELSINGIN SANOMAT carried an article entitled “Chinese Communist Regime Limits Hong Kong Citizens' Rights of Election.” The article included a photo depicting one of Hong Kong practitioners' activities to raise awareness about the persecution of the practice in the mainland. Falun Gong is banned in China, however it is allowed in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. -
Several Turkish Media Outlets Report Falun Gong Protest
2007-07-03On June 25th, Turkish Falun Gong practitioners held a large protest outside the Chinese Embassy. A number of mainstream media outlets reported the event. Several TV channels also reported the protest. The report on Kanal Turk TV was twenty minutes long, giving a detailed introduction to Falun Gong, the persecution and organ harvesting atrocities. -
Germany: The Divine Land Marching Band Makes its debut at Frankfurt’s Great Culture Parade
2007-07-02On June 23rd, 2007, the 20th Frankfurt Great Culture Parade was held on the street near Frankfurt Lake. The parade attracts about 120,000 spectators every year. Composed of 160 Falun Gong practitioners, the European Falun Gong Divine Land Marching Band made its debut at the parade. -
Switzerland: Promoting Falun Gong at the Municipal Government Buildings in Zurich
2007-07-01On June 23rd, 2007, Swiss Falun Gong practitioners held an activity in front of the municipal government buildings in Zurich. They set up a table at the foot of the bridge across the Limat River and displayed photographs and posters to expose the crimes of the Communist regime and the persecution of Falun Gong. Many tourists stopped to read the posters exposing the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s crime of harvesting organs from live Falun Gong practitioners and the photos of Falun Gong practitioners who have been persecuted to death. -
Belgium: Former Vice-Chairman of the Students Club Talks about the Operation of the Chinese Embassies and Consulates Behind the Scenes
2007-07-01The NTD International Chinese Classical Dance Competition 2007 will be held at the Skirball Centre for Performing Arts at New York University, the goal of which is to promote Chinese Classical Dance and revive the orthodox Chinese culture. A week ago, New York University Chinese Culture Club (NYUCCC) made an open statement to slander the NTD International Chinese Classical Dance Competition and planed to interfere with the competition. -
France: Practitioners Teach Falun Gong Exercises on Qigong Day in Paris
2007-06-30During the annual Qigong Day in France a variety of qigong groups gathered in Vincennes Park to teach qigong for a fee. However, Falun Dafa is always free to learn so Falun Gong practitioners taught the exercises for no cost. Several Falun Gong practitioners demonstrated the exercises and distributed leaflets nearby. -
Turkey: Letting Turkish Students Know about Falun Gong and the Persecution Taking Place in China
2007-06-29On May 6th, Cemgil Arslan, the headteacher of the Bilge Elit Dershanesi school in Mersin, invited two Falun Gong practitioners to hold a presentation about Falun Gong in the school. They introduced the practice and its principles of ‘Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance’ to the students and taught them the five Falun Gong exercises.
