  • The Times (United Kingdom): Child Slave Labour Revelation CCP Officials Involved

    "More than 1,000 children may have been kidnapped and sold into slave labour in a brutal human trafficking ring that has shocked and outraged China. The children, some as young as eight, worked in brick kilns for sixteen hours a day with meagre food rations. They were guarded by fierce dogs and thugs who beat their prisoners at will. Many were abducted right off the streets of cities in the region and sold to factories and mines for as little as 400 Yuan (£27). The unfolding scandal, involving negligent law enforcement and even collusion between government officials and slave masters, burst into the open this week".
  • Slovakia: Silhouettes of Falun Gong Persecution Victims in Piestany

    Falun Gong practitioners visited Piestany in western Slovakia to introduce Falun Gong and raise awareness about the persecution in China. On unfolded information posters the passers-by could see and read stories of people who were persecuted or even tortured to death by the communist regime in China because they practised Falun Gong.
  • Scotland: Falun Gong Grabs the Limelight at the Glasgow West End Festival

    The annual Glasgow West End Festival always attracts a large number of visitors in June every year. Falun Gong practitioners were invited to participate in the event this year. When the activities came to an end, the organiser said that it was a pleasure for them to have Falun Gong participating in the festival and it had made the activities more successful.
  • Holland: Falun Gong Practitioners Condemn a Chinese Media's Slanderous Report about Falun Gong

    Recently some overseas Chinese media, such as Singtao Daily and Sino-Dutch Business, reported a murder case by a person of Chinese descent in Holland. This was originally a tragic murder carried out by a person with mental problems. However the reports from the above Chinese media, from the title to the content, deliberately connected this tragedy with Falun Gong, and even misled the readers that practising Falun Gong would lead to mental problems.
  • Holland: Trial in The Hague - Criminal's Claim to Practise Falun Gong Dismissed as False by Court Experts

    In October 2006, a tragedy in which a mental patient of Chinese origin chopped up and cooked his victim’s body took place in Alphen ann de Rijn. The case began at The Hague Court last week and a sentence was expected to be declared on June 22nd. Recently, the media started to follow the case with interest. Without having investigated and verified the case, Singtao Daily, on June 11th, 2007, and China and Holland Business on June 15th, 2007 ,reported that the murderer (G.L.L) had something to do with practising Falun Gong.
  • Russia: Practitioners Raise Awareness about Falun Gong at a Festival in Krasnoyarsk City

    On June 10th, 2007, local Falun Gong practitioners took part in a festival in Krasnoyarsk, in the midlands of Russia. Some students demonstrated Falun Gong exercises, which attracted many people’s interest and some passersby wanted to learn the practice straight away. Some practitioners taught people how to make paper lotus flowers while they explained the reasons for the persecution.
  • Romania: Celebrating World Falun Dafa Day in the City of Sibiu

    Between May 12th and 13th, the city of Sibiu hosted an event to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day. Falun Gong practitioners from Romania came from different cities to celebrate, on this special day, the introduction of Falun Gong to the general public in China on May 13th, 1992 and also the birthday of the founder, Mr. Li Hongzhi.
  • Ireland: Car Tour Raises Public Awareness of the Persecution

    Irish practitioners began a seven day car tour to raise public awareness of the persecution of Falun Gong in China. During the seven day tour, the weather was very unstable, creating difficulties for the team. Nevertheless, the practitioners were determined to complete the project so that more people would learn about the persecution.
  • Switzerland: A Growing Number of People in Martigny Now Know about Falun Gong

    Martigny's annual Five Continents Festival presents a trading market of different cultures. In the square of the town centre, many stands were erected like a small forest and lots of passers-by stopped to take a look. As for Falun Gong practitioners, this was a good place to raise awareness about Falun Gong and the persecution in China.
  • Norway: People of Oslo Condemn Organ Harvesting in China

    Falun Gong practitioners from all over Norway gathered in the country's capital during a music festival in Oslo on Saturday June 2nd, 2007. They took the opportunity to inform local people about the Chinese Communist regime's inhuman trade in organs harvested from living Falun Gong practitioners, whose bodies are subsequently cremated to destroy evidence of the crime.
  • Hungary: Local People Upset by the Brutal Persecution of Falun Gong

    To remember practitioners in China who have been persecuted for eight years, Hungarian practitioners held an appeal in Budapest. At a famous tourist attraction, posters were hung to show how much Falun Gong has benefited people in over sixty countries and the various torture methods used during the brutal suppression of the practice.
  • Regular Activities to Raise Awareness about the Persecution of Falun Gong Prove Effective

    Practitioners decided to organise another Falun Gong information day in the human rights city of Graz. The last one was held quite some time ago. A number of practitioners came from remote cities to help with the information day on Saturday, June 9th, 2007. The event was to expose to even more people the inhuman persecution of Falun Gong by the Communist regime in China. They distributed flyers and told people about the petition, so they could make a stand with their signature against the organ theft from live Falun Gong practitioners in China.
  • Finland: "Please help to rescue my parents"

    Many people pass by Helsinki Central Railway station every Saturday. On June 16th, Falun Gong practitioners returned to raise awareness about the eight year inhuman persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party. Chinese overseas student Sunny appealed for the rescue of her parents who have been illegally arrested in China
  • Sweden: Northern European Practitioners Raise Awareness about Falun Gong in Gothenburg

    On June 9th, 2007, the head of the CCP visited Sweden, and came to Gothenburg. In order to call for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong and remind the public to pay attention to this persecution, Falun Gong practitioners from Denmark and Sweden demonstrated Falun Gong exercises in Gustav Adolfs Torg Square.
  • Norway: Raising Awareness about the Persecution of Falun Gong in a small Norwegian Town

    Six Falun Gong practitioners travelled to a small town in Norway called Fredrikstad. This little town has a little over seventy thousand inhabitants and is the sixth largest city in Norway. In the hot summer sun the practitioners gathered to let local people know about the atrocities being committed in China under the Communist Party's dictatorship.
