Canadian Officials Receive Evidence Supporting Charges of Crimes Against Humanity Filed Against Xia Deren

Canadian officials have confirmed that on Sept. 27th, 2005, they received evidence supporting charges of "crimes against humanity" as well as documents from a U.S. court convicting Chinese official Xia Deren of the same charge. Xia planned to visit Canada on September 30th but cancelled his visit at the last minute. -

On October 1st, Dafa practitioners took part in the "Loop in Motion" Art Festival Parade in University City, St. Louis. Their beautifully decorated float and the elegant exercise demonstration on the float were warmly received by the spectators. Practititioners attendance in the parade was due to the organisers actively seeking out their participation. -

On September 28th, Falun Gong practitioners from Ottawa, Vancouver and Toronto held seperate appeals to call on the Canadian government to bar Xia Deren, Dalian Mayor and Deputy Governor of Liaoning Province, from entering Canada. Xia is scheduled to hold a business visit to Canada on September 30th. -
Taiwan: Hsinzhu Citizens Extend Support for the Rescue of Falun Gong Orphans

They could not understand why the Chinese Communist Party would persecute Falun Gong, as they know that good people should not be persecuted and wicked people are doomed to be punished. In February 2002, Falun Gong practitioners in San Francisco filed a lawsuit against him for overseeing the torture of Falun Gong practitioners. The US Federal Court of Northern California later found both Liu Qi and Xia Deren responsible for torture, cruel, inhuman treatment and arbitrary detention of Falun Gong practitioners. -

On September 26th, 2005, at 6-8 p.m., a benefit concert for rescuing Falun Gong orphans was held on Union Square in downtown Manhattan. People took leaflets for rescuing Falun Gong orphans and carefully looked at the display boards. They will not easily forget this evening, amidst an intermittent drizzle, as the touching performance stirred the their sense of justice and conscience. -
Four Members of U.S. Congress Write to the Governor of Sichuan Province Asking for the Immediate Release of Ms. Yuan Yuju and Mr. Liang Jinhui

On September 22th, 2005, four Members of U.S. Congress, Rush D. Holt, Frank Pallone Jr., Robert E. Andrews, and Mike Ferguson, jointly wrote a letter to the Governor of Sichuan Province, China, concerning the arrest of Ms. Yuan Yuju and Mr. Liang Jinhui for being Falun Gong practitioners. They asked for an immediate release of Ms. Yuan Yuju and Mr. Liang Jinhui. Copies of the letter were sent to U.S. Ambassadors Mr. Clark Randt, Jr. and Mr. Jeff Moon and Secretary of State Ms. Condoleezza Rice. -
