United States: One Hundred People Representing Over Twenty NGOs Gather in San Francisco to Urge United Nations Human Rights Commission to Pass US Sponsored Resolution

100 people from more than 20 NGOs, including the "Global Mission to Rescue Persecuted Falun Gong Practitioners," gathered in Union Square at noon on April 3, urging the United Nations Human Rights Commission to pass a resolution to condemn the Chinese government's human rights violations. They also appealed for an end to the persecution against Falun Gong. -
A Visit to Iran

Falun Gong is spreading fast in Iran and you can find groups of practitioners in many cities. The practitioners are very diligent with many ongoing projects. During the weekends, practitioners gather in the largest park in Teheran, the capital of Iran, to practise and teach the exercises. -
Four Thousand Dafa Practitioners Attend 2004 New York Experience Sharing Conference on Easter; Teacher Arrives to Teach the Fa

On April the 11th 2004, over 4,000 Dafa practitioners gathered in Manhattan, New York and solemnly held a cultivation experience sharing conference. At about 11:30 AM, our revered Teacher came to the conference and taught the Fa for about 30 minutes. After the lecture, all of the practitioners stood and applauded for a long time. One practitioner presented flowers to Teacher. Teacher circled the stage once and waved to everyone. The warm applause continued until Teacher departed. -

China Represses Religious Freedoms - U.S. Proposes Resolution Against China's Abuses at the UN
2004-04-13On March the 22nd 2004, the U.S. announced that it would propose a resolution to condemn China's human rights record in the UN Human Rights Commission meeting this year. The following day, the Chinese Foreign Ministry declared that they would suspend their human rights dialogue with the U.S. At present, the U.S. is appealing for support from other countries. -
Taiwan: Teaching Falun Gong in a Prison and Inspiring Inmates’ Compassionate Nature
2004-04-13In I-Lan County, Taiwan, some local practitioners have taught Falun Gong exercises in Sanxing Prison every Monday afternoon since December 2000. They have introduced Falun Gong’s excellent principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance to this law enforcement agency and its inmates. In the past three years, they have been highly praised by the prison authorities and the inmates. -

Jiang's Regime Attempts Misleading Tricks to Cover-Up the Persecution of Falun Gong
2004-04-08According to news from the European Falun Dafa Information Centre, on April 5th a few people allegedly from a Chinese non-governmental organisation and some representing the Chinese Government, attempted to propagate slander in Geneva. They attempted to hold a closed door meeting, which took place at four in the afternoon. They invited representatives from all countries attending the UN Human rights commission, attacked the proposal to be raised by the US and tried to deceive people in the UN. -
World Psychiatric Association Investigation Stymied Again
2004-04-08The President of the World Psychiatric Association (WPA), Dr. Okasha, received a letter from the President of the Chinese Society of Psychiatry (CSP) cancelling the WPA's plan of going to Beijing on April 4th. The trip was to conduct an independent investigation on China's psychological torture against Falun Gong practitioners. Dr. Okasha did not release specifics from the letter, which was received on March 26, only saying that the WPA had to cancel its investigation involuntarily.
