Elder Sister Persecuted to Death, Younger Sister in Prison Again

Ms. Wang Wenjun and Ms. Wang Wenjuan, two sisters from Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province, were arrested, detained, and sentenced to forced labour simply because they refused to give up their belief in Falun Gong. The older sister, Ms. Wang Wenjun, died five years ago because of the inhumane treatment she was subjected to in Masanjia Forced Labour Camp. She was only 38 years old. The younger sister, Ms. Wang Wenjun, had been sentenced to Masanjia for three years. She was sent to Masanjia again this year. -
Shuangyashan City Court Plans to Sentence Older Practitioners Ms. Wang Yaojun and Ms. Guo Shuzhen
2008-12-10The Jianshan District Court in Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province, plans to sentence Ms. Wang Yaojun and Ms. Guo Shuzhen, both over 60, on November 26th, 2008. In Shuangshan Police Station, officers tried to coerce Ms. Wang Yaojun into writing a statement to give up Falun Gong, but she refused. She was then handcuffed and shackled with over 40 pounds of chains. She was tortured into giving confessions for three days and two nights. Her eyes were battered and turned black. In addition, on November 18th, Ms. Guo's daughter and eight other Falun Gong practitioners were sentenced by the Baoqing County Court in Shuangyashan City. -
Mr. Ye Xinheng from Wenling, Zhejiang Province Persecuted
2008-12-10Mr.Ye Xinheng from Wenling, Zhejiang Province, was forced to become homeless and destitute. On July 11th, 2008, he was arrested at his home while visiting his 85-year-old father. He was taken to the Wenling Police Station. On November 12th, his relatives went to deliver clothes to him. Not having received any official notice of his arrest, they had just learned that he had been sentenced. His elderly father is very worried about him when he hears about the torture that goes on and is asking around for help. -
Forced Labour Camp Authorities in Inner Mongolia Extend Ms. Bao Siqin-Gaowa's Term by One and a Half Years
2008-12-10Ms. Bao Siqin-Gaowa, 31 years old, was a top student in the Physics Department of Heilongjiang University. Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started the persecution of Falun Gong, Gaowa has become a key target for persecution by agents of the Baokang Police Department. During the past nine years, Gaowa was arrested four times, and was sentenced to forced labour twice. November 4th, 2008, was the planned release date for Gaowa, but authorities of the Tongliao City and Baokang Police Department extended her labour camp term by one and a half years. -
Ms. Hu Ying from Diaobingshan City Describes the Persecution She Experienced over the Past Eight Years
2008-12-09On July 4th, 2008, police in Liaoning Province arrested practitioner Ms. Hu Ying, hung her up by her handcuffs and beat her mercilessly. On July 6th, Ms. Hu Ying was transferred to the Tieling Detention Centre and the persecutors attempted to leave her there. Afraid of being held responsible for Hu Ying's severe injuries, Tieling Detention Centre officials sent her back to the Diaobingshan Detention Centre on September 29th. Hu Ying subsequently had to rely on urine catheterization every day and was in agony. Surveillance Division chief Zang Jinglin (female) and guard Wang Liqun locked Hu Ying onto the floor with large fetters, and they forbade family visits. No one knows whether or not Hu Ying is still alive. -
Ms. Zhao Yabin from Tangshan City Sentenced to Seven Years' Imprisonment

In July 2008, 46-year-old Ms. Zhao Yabin was arrested by police in Tangshan City, Hebei Province. The police also searched her home. Chinese Communist Party (CCP) personnel fabricated interrogation transcripts and a list of confiscated items for the purpose of framing Ms. Zhao. Ms. Zhao was recently sentenced to seven years of imprisonment, and she is currently being detained in the Tangshan First Detention Centre. -
My Family Suffered Decades of Persecution Due to the Chinese Communist Party's(CCP) Tyrannical Rule
2008-12-09I started practising Falun Gong in the year 1996. After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started to persecute Falun Gong in 1999, I was arrested, beaten, detained, fined, my house was ransacked and my family was implicated. Because I married another Falun Gong practitioner, the CCP personnel wanted to make me undergo a forced abortion. After appeals from various parties, the regime officials failed in their evil plan. The persecution my family had suffered is a clear manifestation of the cruelty of the tyrant CCP. -
Additional Information on the Death of Ms. Zheng Youmei from Sichuan Province
2008-12-09In November 2007, 61-year-old Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zheng Youmei was arrested and sent to the Nanmusi Female Labour Camp. On November 2nd, 2008, she died from torture. Labour camp staff informed her family that Ms. Zheng died of a brain haemorrhage. When the family viewed her body Chinese Communist Party (CCP) agents surrounded the family. After less than two minutes, they were forced out. Ms Zheng's family asked if they could clean her body and change her clothes but were refused. The family surmises that her body had already been prepared and made-up when they viewed it. Ms Zheng was cremated without the family's permission. -
Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Li Zhengling Died in Custody
2008-12-08Mr. Li Zhengling was subjected to three years of persecution in a forced labour camp because he had organized about 300 people to do the Falun Gong exercises. On February 4th, 2005, he was arrested again after the police ransacked his home and found Falun Gong materials. He was sentenced to five years imprisonment. Li Zhengling was sent to Deyang Prison, where he became blind due to continuous mistreatment. On June 21st, 2008, Mr. Li's family members received a notice that he was critically ill. He died on June 24th, 2008. -
The Persecution of Ms. Tan Jianju by the 610 Office of Zengcheng City, Guangdong Province
2008-12-08In July 2008, officers from the 610 Office of Zengcheng City and the Xiaolou Town Police Station arrested Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Tan Jianju and took her to the "law education school" for brainwashing. Ms. Tan Jianju is still mentally disoriented after recently leaving the brainwashing centre. The local police still threaten to revoke her permanent residency registration. In 2002, Ms. Tan married Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Liu Guohua. Shortly after their marriage, Mr. Liu was arrested and sentenced to two years in a labour camp. Ms. Tan was pregnant at the time. Mr. Liu developed serious uraemia after being persecuted in the labour camp. Mr. Liu Guohua died at age 30. -
Falun Gong Practitioners Force-fed Psychotropic Drugs in Zhejiang Province Women's Prison
2008-12-08Falun Gong practitioners who were sent to Zhejiang Province Women's Prison have been deprived of sleep, locked in one room, not allowed to wash themselves, forced to eat and go to the toilet in the same room, held in solitary confinement for intensified brainwashing, and pressured to write the Repentance Statement. The room's windows were sealed with heavy cloth so that no sunlight could get in. Healthy practitioners were treated as mental patients and forced to take psychotropic drugs. -
Qi Changrong, Song Hongcui and Bai Hong from Tanggu District, Tianjin City Sentenced to Prison
2008-12-08On August 10th, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners, Qi Changrong, Song Hongcui and Bai Hong were secretly sentenced after having been detained in a detention centre for seven months. Qi Changrong was sentenced to five years of imprisonment, and Song Hongcui and Bai Hong were both sentenced to three years. They have now been transferred to Tianjin No. 2 Prison. Their relatives never received any notification from either the Domestic Security Division, 610 Office, court or prison, nor have they ever received any information of legal procedures against any of the practitioners. As of today, their relatives are still not allowed to meet with them. -
Diaobingshan City Police Severely Persecuting Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Hu Ying

On July 4th, 2008, in the name of "sustaining harmony for the Olympics", Liaoning Province police arrested Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Hu Ying, who had been forced into a homeless situation, questioned her and tortured her. On July 6th, the police transferred Hu Ying to Tieling City Detention Centre and continued to torture her. However, her health declined rapidly due to the brutal torture. Hu Ying has been severely persecuted for over four months to date. -
Hong Kong Resident Exposes the Persecution of His Wife by the Zengcheng City 610 Office in Guangdong Province
2008-12-07Hong Kong resident Mr. Chen Yingtian and Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yang Xiaolan from Zengcheng City were married in mainland China before 1999. However, because Ms. Yang practises Falun Gong and refused to give up the practice, she was persecuted by the 610 Office of the Zengcheng Municipal Police Station. Currently, Ms. Yang is being detained, and not allowed to reunite with her husband and their child. The 610 Office will not issue a permit to Yang Yaolan to go outside China. -
Call for Rescuing Mr. Lei Anxiang, Who Was Sentenced by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)
2008-12-07On May 10th, 2008, police searched Mr. Lu Jiabin's apartment and arrested him. Mr. Lei Anxing was also arrested because he happened to go to the apartment to get tools at that time. Mr. Lei was detained in the Chenzhou Detention Centre. The police took the Falun Gong leaflets exposing the persecution he carried with him as "criminal evidence." He was sentenced to three years in prison. In 2004, Mr. Lei Anxiang was arrested and taken to the Huadu Forced Labour Camp. He endured three months of brutal brainwashing. The guards ordered detainees to stab his body with large steel needles. They forced Mr. Lei to kneel down and placed a bamboo stick on his shins. Several people took turns stepping on the stick and rolling it, which caused them to bleed.
