• Dafa Practitioner Mr. Lin Shusen from Beijing Suffering Torture In Qianjin Prison

  Due to his belief in "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," Dafa practitioner Lin Shusen from Beijing was sentenced to five years of imprisonment, and sent into Qianjin Prison in 2005. Throughout this period, due to the long-term torture, Lin Shushen's kidneys and liver failed, his bones deteriorated, he excreted everything he ate without digesting it, yet he was still kept under strict disciplinary surveillance. Currently, his right ankle bone is fractured, and the muscle of his right lower leg is atrophic.

• Mr. Qiao Zengyi of Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province Died as a Result of Torture

  Practitioner Qiao Zengyi was arrested at his home in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province on June 22nd, 2006. He was then detained at the Changlinzi Forced Labour Camp. During his detention, Mr. Qiao became seriously ill as a result of torture. Many times, his family requested to take him to the hospital, but the requests were refused by the guards. On July 11th, 2007, the guards released Mr. Qiao when he was barely alive. On September 12th, 2007, Mr. Qiao Zengyi passed away.

• 610 Office Agents Send Ms. Zhen Haiyan to Forced Labour Camp and Hide Evidence of Her Husband's Torture Death

  On May 31st, 2007, Jiexi Police Station officers arrested Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Yang Yuxin and his wife, Ms. Zhen Haiyan. The couple had been married for only one month. Police officer Zhang Shibin pointed a handgun at Mr. Yang Yuxin's head while four or five agents carried him to a vehicle. On August 27th, 2007, Mr. Yang Yuxin was tortured to death in police custody. After Mr. Yang had been tortured to death, on September 10th, officers arrested Ms. Zhen for the second time. While they were carrying out the arrest, they said, "You appealed, didn't you? We are arresting you because you appealed." Police fear that Ms. Zhen will sue them and their crimes will be exposed. They are hiding the evidence.

• The Torture of Falun Gong Practitioners in Shanghai City Women's Forced Labour Camp Is as Brutal as Ever

  Currently, the Shanghai City 610 Office is still making use of its power to arrest Falun Gong practitioners. It sentenced female practitioners to labour camp for one to three years without evidence of any crime. Jiang Qiqiong specifically studied "psychology" in order to deceive practitioners with her evil "doctrine". In addition, she used other types of violence on practitioners, including forcing them to stand facing the wall, hanging them up in the air, confining them in solitary cells, depriving them of food and sleep, as well as verbal abuse.

• Police in Jining City, Shandong Province Arrested Mr. Li Ruifeng, Whose Deafness was Cured After Practising Falun Dafa

  At around 6:00 a.m. on September 12th, 2007, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Ruifeng, who was born as a deaf mute from Jining City, Shandong Province, was arrested by police. At the same time, his 70-year-old father and son were also arrested. The police also confiscated a computer, printer, copier, and Falun Dafa materials from his home, which filled up a whole truck. After practising Falun Dafa, Mr. Li's hearing problems improved. He could even communicate with other people with the help of a hearing aid. Before the persecution of Falun Dafa started on July 20th, 1999, his story was spread widely in Jining City. It was referred to as the miracle that happened to a deaf mute who could talk after practising Falun Dafa.

• Ms. Li Changying, a Falun Gong Practitioner in her Fifties, from Xi'an, Persecuted to Death

  After eight years of suppression and persecution, Ms. Li Changying's old illness returned, which caused her abdomen to become terribly swollen. It was only then that the camp authorities released her. After she returned home, the local neighbourhood office monitored her continuously. This put her and her family under enormous pressure. She died on August 31st, 2007.

• Ms. Wang Lanxiang and Mr. Chen Genghui Passed Away Due to Persecution

  Ms. Wang Lanxiang, was over 50 years old and lived in Beijing. After she began to practise Falun Gong, she became quite healthy, and the local people knew her as a kind person. On one day in 2005, several police officers suddenly broke into Ms. Wang's home and took her into custody. She was detained and sentenced to labour camp since she refused to give up Falun Gong. Due to long term detention and persecution, she developed many kinds of diseases and her life was in danger. In 2006, she was released for medical treatment. She passed away several months later. Mr. Chen Genghui, was over 70 years old. In 2003, he was sentenced to labour camp. On December 24th, 2003, he passed away in pain.

• Police Mistreat a 78-Year-Old Woman That Travelled a Long Distance to Visit Her Daughter in Dalian City, Liaoning Province

  On August 14th, 2007, the police officers in Dalian City arrested more than 20 practitioners, including Ms. Liu Yun from Jincheng City, from a house in the Shahekou District in Dalian City. On the morning of September 11th, accompanied by family members, Ms. Liu's 78-year-old mother travelled a long distance from Jincheng City to the Qingniwaqiao Police Station in Dalian City. She asked why the officers had arrested her daughter. Cui Bin, the deputy director, responded to her questions with all kinds of lies fabricated by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He also rudely stopped her and her family members from talking. Since Ms. Liu's arrest, her mother has had no assured means of support.

• Three Practitioners Died As Result of Persecution

  Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Qiao Zengyi was a senior technician at Heilongjiang Province Hospital. On June 21st, 2006, the police broke into the place where he was staying and arrested him. When he was detained at Changlinzi Forced Labour Camp, Mr. Qiao was severely tortured. He contracted tuberculosis and could not eat or drink and became emaciated. He was unable to take care of himself. After being delirious for 43 days, he was eventually taken to a hospital. Even during that time, guards were assigned to watch him. Mr. Qiao died at noon on September 12th, 2007. His death was a direct result of persecution.

• Mr. Li Zhiqin Tortured to Death within Three Hours of His Arrest in Ningjin County, Xingtai City, Hebei Province

  During the evening of September 11th, 2007, Ningjin County 610 Office and Zhao County 610 Office officials went to Mr. Li Zhiqin's house in Zhao County, arrested him and ransacked his home. He was later taken to Ningjin County, where he died as a result of abuse that same evening. It was reported that Ningjin County 610 Office officials threatened his family and only paid a little money as compensation for his death.

• Older Daqing City Practitioner Ms. Liu Sheng Dies As a Result of Persecution

  Ms. Liu Sheng was a Falun Gong practitioner from Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province. In June 2006, Ms. Liu was distributing leaflets exposing the persecution to people in Kaihuanghutun when someone reported her to the police. She was sentenced to 18 months of forced labour. Within only 30 days, Ms. Liu coughed up blood and was unable to eat because of the cruel torture. After 30 days at the camp, Ms. Liu was released. She went into hiding to avoid further persecution. She passed away at the age of 53 on September 11th, 2007. She was skin and bones when she died, weighing a mere 66 lbs.

• The Brutal Persecution of Falun Dafa Practitioners by Qian'an Police in Hebei Province

  Almost all of the practitioners were beaten or verbally abused in the brainwashing centre. Guards stepped on practitioner Mr. Pang Wendong's head and slapped his face fiercely; Mr. Song Naiwen was tortured until he was unconscious. The practitioners were given only three tenths of a pound of food daily and, as a result, became very skinny. Not only were the practitioners relentlessly tortured, the CCP also pressured their families and told them to participate in beating practitioners. When practitioners held hunger strikes, guards force-fed them; the victims' noses and mouths bled when the guards forcibly inserted feeding tubes into the practitioners' stomachs.

  Ms. Jin Huizhen was taken into police custody on July 21st, 2007. When she arrived at the detention centre Ms. Jin's calves were black and blue, possibly from being kicked by the police On August 15th, she was sentenced to one year of forced labour on a charge of "distributing three pieces of Falun Gong materials. Other so-called "evidence" was the paper bag she left, containing--according to the authorities--125 pieces of leaflets exposing the persecution. According to her count, there were only 90 fliers.

  In October 2000, Mr. Mou Qiang was sentenced to seven years of imprisonment and sent to Yaan Prison. When he was detained, a prison guard named Wu Yun tortured him, attempted to brainwash him, and violently force-fed him. Now, after suffering a month of physical and mental torture, Mr. Mou Qiang can barely move, his face has become pale and full of deep wrinkles, and his hair is completely grey even though he is only 35 years old.

• Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Zhang Zhan'an Subjected to Persecution

  On July 20th, 2007, police officers from the Security Division of the Lianshan District Police Department in Huludao City, Liaoning Province arrested Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Yue Peng, his father Mr. Yue Yunlin, Mr. Zhang Zhan'an, Ms. Li Xiuzhen, and her son Mr. Zhang Xin. Ms. Li Xiuzheng and Mr. Zhang Xin were released the same night that they were arrested. Mr. Zhang Zhan'an, Mr. Yue Peng and Mr. Yue Yunlin were held in a detention centre. Mr. Yue Yunlin was released 20 days later, covered with wounds. After his unlawful detention, Mr. Zhang became sick. He vomited continuously and could no longer hold down food. His body became emaciated. His family appealed for his release several times but were denied each time by the Division Deputy Director.
