• Dafa Practitioner Ms Yang Hong from Huludao Released From Detention After Immense Suffering

  On November 18th, 2005, Dafa practitioner Ms. Yang Hong from Huludao City was arrested. Within a short period of three weeks, Yang Hong was tortured by police to the point of developing pneumonia in both lungs, as well as a cyst, tachycardia and other symptoms. Her throat was badly injured during brutal forced-feeding sessions, her teeth became loose and blackened due to her mouth being pried open by the detention centre guards, and her body was covered with black and red bruises. However, Yang Hong persisted in not cooperating with the perpetrators, and finally was released from detention on December 9th, 2005.

• Older Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Chen Guoxiang Dies as a Result of Persecution

  55-year-old Mr. Chen Guoxiang was an engineer in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The persecutors detained him twice in Wuyuan Forced Labour Camp in Bameng City. Because of suffering torture in the labour camp, Mr. Chen became emaciated, and developed excessive fluid accumulation around the heart, in the lungs and abdomen. He died on December 19th, 2005.

• I Cannot Keep Silent After Learning of the Rape in Hebei Province

  The thugs dragged practitioner Zhang Muo into the courtyard and whipped him from head to toe with sticks and a whip made of three electric cords twisted together. Zhang Muo screamed in pain but they refused to stop. Zhang Muo's mother almost fainted because she couldn't bear watching her son being tortured. The thugs called You Hong over and told him, "Give her a injection." Zhang Muo's mother said, "I'm not sick! I'm not getting any injections!" Ren Binghui said in a menacing voice, "Oh really? Let's see if you really don't take any drugs or injections!" He grabbed the syringe and pulled down the old woman's trousers and jabbed her with the syringe. It's unknown what kind of drug was in the syringe.

• Two Elderly Ladies Tortured in Wanjia Forced Labour Camp in Harbin City

  Ms. Chen Guilan, 59, is in Wanjia Forced Labour Camp because she practises Falun Dafa. Prison guards also took her into the small, dark cell to torture her. They beat her while she was hanging up and while she was sitting on the iron chair. Her lower body was covered with dark bruises. The guards usually use electric batons to shock practitioners on their faces, hands, and elsewhere. Now they are shocking practitioners predominantly on their lower bodies so that others cannot easily detect the wounds, which are covered by the practitioners' clothes. They laugh right after beating practitioners.

• Tangshan Locomotive & Rolling Stock Works Persecutes Falun Gong Practitioners

  In early January 2006, Tangshan Locomotive & Rolling Stock works was going to recruit a number of electricians and welders from the factory to send to Siemens, in Germany, for further training. One of the selection criteria was that the candidate must not be a Falun Gong practitioner. Also, the head of the infamous 610 Office had to sign the application form. This is an act committed by some individuals in the factory who have chosen to follow Jiang Zemin and the Chinese Communist Party's policy to persecute Falun Gong practitioners.

• The Persecution of Practitioners Mr. Wu Jianmin and Ms. Zhou Xiaohong in Hunan Province

  Since April 2005 the authorities have imprisoned practitioner Ms. Zhou Xiaohong in the Baimalong Forced Labour Camp. Under "strict supervision" and subjected to repeated beatings, Ms. Zhou is now walking with a limp. Also, practitioner Mr. Wu Jianmin was sentenced to four years in prison for practising Falun Gong and is currently detained in the Jin City prison.

• Older Dafa Practitioner Mr Du Shiliang from Hailing City Dies Under Suspicious Circumstances in Mudanjiang Prison

  On January 27th, 2002, Mr. Du Shiliang, in his 50s and his wife were arrested by police. Mr. Du was sentenced to six years of imprisonment and his wife was sentenced to three years. In September 2002, they were sent to Mudanjiang Prison. On January 13th, 2006, Mr. Du's wife went to Mudanjiang Prison to visit him, and his health condition was normal. At 11:00 p.m. on January 20th, 2006, she suddenly received a message saying that Mr. Du Shiliang had died at 9:00 p.m. on January 20th, 2006. The detailed information is still under investigation.

• Practitioner Ms. Liu Dan Tortured Nearly to Death and Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

  After she was arrested on October 24th, 2005, Ms. Liu Dan, 30, suffered all sorts of torture, became critically ill twice and had to be sent to the hospital for emergency rescue. Instead, they sent her back to her family, where she was monitored in shifts by more than ten police officers 24-hours a day. On January 12th, the police suddenly took Liu Dan to court for an illegal trial, and alleged on the following day that Liu Dan had been sentenced to four years of imprisonment, and would be sent to Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison for further persecution on January 16th.

  "In the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp, I often saw and heard guards torturing steadfast practitioners and using obscenities to insult female practitioners. Female guard Zhang Qiurong often tortured practitioners. She also frequently found male guards to help her. They tied practitioner Ms. Chen in a spread-eagle fashion and tortured her. A guard pointed at Ms. Chen's private parts and said, "You are not even worth touching." Then he stepped on and kicked her insteps with his leather shoes, causing her feet to bleed."

  "In 2001 I unfurled a banner at Tiananmen Square. Several police officers appeared immediately and two of them twisted my arms behind my back and dragged me into a police van. I was sent to the Qianmen Police Station and locked away in a large jail cell. I refused to tell the police my name and address and was sent to another police station and tortured. Two of them tied a rope to my handcuffs and then used the rope to hang me up in the air in a garage. They also continuously kept pushing my head down. The weight of my whole body fell on my wrists and I felt agonising pain. They sealed my mouth so I could not make any noise. After I could not bear the torture any longer, I told them my address."

  "I am a handicapped person with brain paralysis. Since practising Falun Dafa my physical condition and personal image improved a great deal. For that reason, mother and I did not hesitate about going to Beijing to appeal for Dafa. On October 1st, 2001, mother and I went to Tiananmen Square to appeal for Dafa and were arrested. Because we didn't tell them our names or address, the police locked us in a cage. One policeman said: "We'll have the CCTV's 'Focal Point' people broadcast a story about a woman with her child practising Falun Gong and that the normal child has become an idiot." Mother told me that police had beaten her in an effort to force her to tell them her name and address."

• Ms. Zhao Tingyun from Henan Province Tortured to Death on Ninth Day in Police Custody

  Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhao Tingyun died on the ninth day of being in police custody. On January 6th, 2006, Zhao Tingyun went to the home of practitioner Li Beiping. Police officers who were staking out Li Beiping's home arrested Ms. Zhao and put her in custody. She held a hunger strike to protest the persecution and was savagely force-fed. The police reported that Ms. Zhao died around 5:00 a.m. on January 15th.

• Ms. Song Yanqun's Life is in Danger at the Changchun Heizuizi Female Prison

  Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Song Yanqun, 34, has been persecuted in the Changchun City Heizuizi Female Prison for two years. Now she weighs only around 60 lbs and her life is in danger. She was sent to the prison hospital for intravenous injection. At the same time, her health has been seriously affected and she suffers from a heart condition and liver problems. Ms. Song's parents requested the prison to release her on medical bail, but the Director of the daily health division in the prison hospital, denied their request.

• Beijing's Liulitun Street Office in Beijing Responsible for Two Deaths and One Case of Severe Disability

  The persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners during the past six years at the Liulitun Street Office, in conjunction with personnel from the 610 Office, resulted in two cases of abnormal death and one of severe disability. Dozens of people were unjustly detained, sent to forced labour camps, sentenced to prison terms, or sent to brainwashing classes or mental hospitals for torture. One such practitioner, Ms. Han Jingui was tied to chair and tortured, then sent to a mental hospital, where she was again tortured. Due to torture she suffered a brain hemorrhage and is now paralysed and bedridden.
